I have always felt that almost anthing mass produced like boats, motorcycles, trailers, etc are never set up correctly. All it takes is a little effort, some trial and error, others imput( from sites like this) and you can correct all the errors made.
Once you get the bugs out early you will learn a lot in the process and enjoy more the rest of the time of ownership

Here you go @MrMoose even though mine looks cleaner then most upon further inspection mine it is the worst case scenario there is actually a small hole between the two hull layers so I will need to get 5200 today and fix this before I launch ugh.

I would have to move my roller back over a foot to be at the same point as @Neutron I will probably start at 6 inches and see how that feels.

Good new is the small box anchor will fit inside the sleve on the anchor locker I just have to figure what to line it with so nothing breaks. I'm not so certain about these new clean out plugs they are very difficult to get in and out I see these becoming stuck in very quickly I need to figure out something to lube them with.

I was told they don't come with fire extinguisher because of the use by dates, if the boat hasn't sold for a few years they're not new and fresh, load of BS if you ask me.

Try spray silicone with the clean out plugs or white lithium grease.

This maybe a stupid question but if water gets in the anchor locker isn't the water draining to the bilge no matter what? I get that this is poor quality control but does it really need to be fixed? I am picking up my boat next week and am curious.

I lined the wall of the locker with exercise matting. Placed the folded box anchor with the tines facing towards bow. It slips right in the locker perfectly. Place a noodle in between the anchor so it opens enough to wedge into place. Seems sturdy.

I stopped at Home Depot and bought a 18 inch piece of rebar slid in between the box anchor it now hangs so no banging on the bottom of the I will through some hydro turf on the back wall to help banging there but it really doesn't move back and forth much tucked in the little cubby in the anchor locker.

@swatski my Connext screen will shut down when I press and hold the light button. You have to press it once to go to the light screen, then press and hold and it shuts down.

I've wondered about the tongue weight on my boat....going to have to check it! Gonna need a big scale!

Actually, you should not need a big scale. A normal bathroom scale should do. Your tongue weight should be in the 450-500 lb range. Not that I would recommend using the glass one, but a normal cheap metal bathroom scale will usually do that.

Here's a link to Will talking about the top. The 15s should be the same. I think.

@newbote Yes that water should end up in the bilge. As to whether this should be fixed the answer is yes. This water will wind up in a few place the storage compartments getting all your stuff wet, stuck between the two hull layers adding weight reducing the performance of your boat or worse weighing down the front and possibly making the water leaking worse. The water should all end up in the bilge but bilge pumps fail and the worst part is usually the only time you will realize your pump has failed is because there is a bunch of water in the engine compartment or worse your engines have stopped working because water has reached them. If you get your new boat I'm not sure it would be worth leaving at the dealer to fix as who knows how long it will take them and you could likely quickly fix it and move on. If I was to do it over again I probably would have used silicon to fix it instead of the 3M 5200 was not fun to work with.

Thanks that was what I was afraid of it was pretty much how I did it but closing back up was a pain. I did steal the Velcro idea mentioned earlier and bought some Velcro straps today so the next time it will be a little easier.

Congratulations on the new boat!!! I had another question about these new boats. When pulling up to a beach or anchoring location with motors on, we have the the radio playing. But as soon as I turn the motors off the radio stops too. Is there a method to not interrupt the radio while shutting down the Motors?
I never could figure out to do it either. I would always shut one engine down then turn the key back on, then shut the other down.

Ok thanks - didn't realize is could get in between the the layers of Hulls or get into the storage compartments. I will use the silicone if my boat has that issue.
