Just got some new toys:

Savage Model 93 in 22 Magnum with a fluted bull barrel and Bushnell scope
Sig Sauer SP2022 - love that gun, very smooth shooter.

What caliber on the SP2022?

I'm, in the market for a striker fire unit and the 320 is on my list...PPQ is edging it out though

@LionShare - the Sig is in 9mm. (didn't have one in that caliber... needed to round out the list)

From what I researched the 320 is the daddy to the SP2022. The 326 has a stainless steel frame with a full rail. Mine is polymer with a partial rail = lighter.
Although I have only shot it once I will tell you that it is a very smooth shooting gun, light recoil. BTW it does have a two-stage trigger reset, if that matters to you at all.
Great Gun I am very happy with my purchase.

My "cricket". North American Arms - 5 shot double action revolver. Shoots 22 mag only.

Wife swears that the sharp noise that it produces is louder than the 45!

I'm going to - my brother has one and it's a dream to shoot. I like the chunky feel and look of the 320 but again, the PPQ edged it out. I'll be picking one up once I'm on the other side of what I need for my new boat.

So just bought a AR Bass Pro has the Panther Arms Oracle on sale for $399 after rebate I figured for that price how could I afford to not have one. Now I have to wait since they are on back order at Bass Pro I figured I would start shopping for optics. I want to get a red dot sight for it any recommendations? I do not expect to use it at more then 200 yards so do not really want a magnified sight just something simple and hopefully not crazy priced. My budget is probably $200 or less if possible I have a tough time putting a $300-$400 sight on a $400 gun.

I have been quite a fan of Vortex for quite a while. They are on all of my rifles, from my hunting guns, to my ARs, to my precision rifle.

A few options come to mind for your application.

The first is StrikeFire which is a red/green dot. It has no magnification (all red dots have no magnification). If you want any magnification you have to buy a separate item. There are cheaper options but this one can take one hell of beating.

There are two others that are right at $200

Now for a more expensive option (which I use on my prominent AR), the Strike Eagle, which has magnification. It is actually a scope with 1-6 magnification. The reticle in the scope is etched into the glass like any other scope but can also be illuminated.

Now again this is my personal bias, I am huge fan of Vortex products. There are cheaper items (like TruGlo = which are crap).
Just make sure you get to a store and get your hands on one before you purchase.
Also figure out exactly what application you want for that gun. (hunting, SHTF gun, or just fun target practice)

Thanks @Bennie those look like viable options and the last two are similar to some others I was looking at. I decided against a scope as I wanted the field of vision. This will be a range and SHTF gun only I do not plan to use it for anything else if I thought I would hunt with it I would probably go scope.

I thought the same till I got my hands on that last one. It magnifies from 1x - 6x. Allowing you to have a full FOV for SHTF and close contact.
However if you need to zoom to get a better picture you can. That is not an option with a red dot. Red dots are 1x only and to magnify you have to buy another item that gives you 3x... no variables.

Here is the reticle on the Strike Eagle. The red "dome" is what is used for close contact, then the Bullet Drop Compensator bellow it is for the common 223/5.56 AR projectile from 200yds - 600yds.

Most importantly though is what works best for you. Get your hands on them and see how they feel. See how quick you can get a clean target acquisition from them. That is extremely important for a SHTF application.
