So after only a week of my brand new boat being at the boatel the seats already have stains and look dirty. Is there a good protectant out there to make this stuff easy to wipe off. Going to try and clean the seats as well as I can tomorrow and see if there is a good product to apply after each use after that.

If its going to be a continuous issue. Might what to look into a semi permanent ceramic coating. i.e. ceramic pro costly but there are other cheaper versions out there

I use Mary Kate Ultra Vinyl Cleaner and it works great at keeping my boat look new https://jetboaters.net/threads/good-results-using-mary-kate-ultra-vinyl-cleaner.10696/ . It's removed grease, bug guts, ash marks, blood, sun tan oil and normal wear/scuffs with minimal elbow grease effort. It's foaming action so just spray and wipe with microfiber towel. Takes no time to go over the boat and even less if you stay on top of it after each use. Smells good (clean) too. Once cleaned I apply 303 Aerospace UV protectant.

Still looks new on my second season...

Boat Bling Vinyl Sauce and also their Condition Sauce. Best money spent to detail the interior seats in my opinion.

Vinyl sauce and some microfiber towels and an hour of your time and you'll be amazed what they look like after.

Then follow up with condition Sauce (with new microfiber towels) to condition the vinyl and keep stains from coming back again.

I do condition Sauce before and after summer so twice total. Maybe once more in the middle. And I use the Vinyl Sauce every other boat cleaning. Or if I see a spot that needs attention in between I'll get it with Vinyl Sauce.

Boat bling products are awesome. Hot sauce is like quick detail spray for a car but for a boat.

All the products smell good also :)

Best of luck!

I want to try it - the Vinyl Sauce. I use Hot Sauce (by Boat Bling) on my hull - when I pull out. Love it.

Hot Sauce is the best thing I have ever bought for my boat. The black hull loves water spots. The Vinyl Sauce works well as a light cleaner and the conditioner works ok too. I am still searching for a "wax" for my seats. Put something on before an outing and everything wipes right off at the end.

I use and love all the boat bling products. But for what you are talking about I ran into this all the time. The best thing I've found that eliminates the stains is Mean Green from dollar general. Once it lifts the stain out, I use boat bling Conditioning sauce to put protection back into the vinyl. Mean green works the best for me and Mr. Awesome comes in second. I don't think Vinyl sauce from boat bling works that well for this staining nuisance. You need something with little bit of bleach in it. But with bleach use the boat bling products right after.

If you haven't already, give her a nice wax job with Quickie sauce and with Hot sauce, you have a new boat after every outing lol.

I use good old fashioned wax annually on my boat and then Hot Sauce in there interim. On the inside, like others I use vinyl Sauce and is great, easy and protected well.

On another note, what kind of stains are you getting, and is there a way to reduce them from happening in the first place? Are these stains from the environment or people? Some forbidden things on my boat that help reduce stains are:

1). no Cheetios or cheesy crackers (that others stuff gets everywhere);
2). Please remove your shoes. A curious sorry on that one happened last year at Shasta. Even though people were removing their shoes, red lake bed mud was still getting all over there boat. Turns out that as people were walking down to the boat (over about 150 get off drug lake bed, in flip flops, there dirt was golfing on their feet. Then one their feet got wet, mud ensured. There cheers was tool ask them to ride their feet in there lake before getting on board... Problem was solved.
3). No red wine. This one hurts as that's my color. But they do love their whites from the cooler.

Save your money on the overpriced products. Go to a dollar store and get some Totally Awesome.

What I'm getting is the guys at the marina stepping on my seats to move the boat and move my bumpers and lines before lifting the boat out to put it into the dry storage building. I had some of the simple green degreaser in the garage as I have used it to clean my other boats so I just put a bottle on the boat today and I will clean up with it. I picked up the 303 aerospace protectant from west marine today and threw a bottle on the boat as well. I used both before I went out today everything except a few orange dots not sure what they are came out hoping the 303 will help prevent further stains and I will try and clean up each outing.

I had started using a 3M Vinyl Cleaner and Protectant. It's a thick liquid that you wipe on and then wipe off. Didn't seem to "clean" but it did put an awesome coating on the seats. I've since switched to Meguiar's Marine Vinyl Cleaner & Protectant. It definitely cleans and puts a nice protected coating on. Been using a couple years now and very satisfied thus far.

One thing I've learned over the years - is to avoid anything that contains silicone. Such as Armour All automotive cleaners/conditioners. Those are BAD for the long run as they cause drying up and cracking of vinyl/rubber/seals etc. and accelerated deterioration.

303 is kind of weird, as it does not clean much, but has a superior track record of protecting and "nourishing" plastics and rubber along with UV protection, so I stick with it.

Another little thing I have learned is - if the boat is dry and just covered with some dry dirt/dust/pollen everywhere - I wipe all the surfaces with DRY microfiber towels BEFORE spraying anything on.

I also use 303. Now I only use armor all as a special purpose lubricant. The maxima clear coat is also good, at most motorcycle shops. It is a clear silicone spray that makes anything glow. Not sure on the longterm protection as it is silicone like armourall. Cma.
