Stickers on the trailer rail looks good.. It adds a lot to such a dull area under the boat.. giving me ideas.. damn the wife hates this forum
Totally normal, Yamaha "pseudo-double hull" design, the engine bay has its own "tub". There are several gaps like that for water to drain to bilge, hence you can see the raw fiberglass surface.

I am out on water and vdc gauge says 12.8 at 1200 rpm idle. It's idling rough like it wants to die.
You should be in the 14.x volt range on the dash gauge with the engine running at idle. Sounds like you have a charge or definitely electrical issue. How did the battery look? Could be bad rectifier or something along those lines. I think someone recently had a similar issue.
I found problem! I got stranded on the lake had dealership tow me in. Motor died and would not turn over. Mechanic found that wires on battery shut off switch were never tightned down from factory. Yamaha after fighting on phone with them paid for tow. They warranty the work but didn't want to pay for tow. Everything is working properly now. Idle good and no engine comm error.

The white line all along the side of the trailer is reflective sensor tape we use at work. You should see it when headlights hit it!!
I got them from jet boat pilot along with ones that go on the bow of the boat. Check out their site. They were very inexpensive Emery and really adds to the finish of the boat.
Hey Dan, so you got the answer to the hull issue and we're all glad to hear it's normal. Now for the answer to your missing keys! That dam cat of yours got em! Lol
That should be every boat owners first purchase before anything else! A second battery gives you piece of mind and the embarassment of getting towed in!
Has anyone any seen or heard the specifics ( if there are any) on where the best place to sit kids is? My wife likes to normally sit on the side seat sort of hallway between the glove box and the back with my 9 month old son in her lap and my 4 year old likes to sit all the way in the back left corner holding onto the bar, or sometimes he sits infront of my wife right behind the windshield by the glove box so he can mess with the radio and when we are traveling 15/20 and under without much water traffic I let him sit in the bow , facing forward with his back on the seatback and holding onto the hand rail. He seems to enjoy that. Well of course today we get an email from the little league my 4 year old son plays in, informing everyone that a 10 year old player had died in a boating accident ( he was thrown from the boat when the driver hit a bridge). Now to me this sounds like a major operator error, but my wife is in a panic wanting to make sure the kids are sitting in the safest and recommended spots in the boat.#moms
When installing the rack did you install a clear 3M product to prevent scratching the tower where the rack attaches to the tower?
