It may have just been missed whenever you posted. Check the member map for the area you are looking to move to and you can tag members in that area via @ESU2 and they will get an alert.

Maybe that will give you better luck.

murells inlet is over crowded from what I've seen and is a commercial tourism nightmare. Now I have no boating experience there, but have seen it from land. Also, from researching it for a vacation I have in August it is really hard to get from the ICW to the open ocean down there, not a lot of inlets. I'll watch this for sure since Myrtle Beach is close and it would be fun to do more boating there.

Don't move to Murrells Inlet for the boating lol where you are is much better. There is plenty of boating opportunities there but where you are is a lot better. Sandy bottom yes clarity is zero there is no snorkeling or anything like that in that area as you would not be able to see anything. Temps are seasonal water temps are 70 and above mid May through mid October outside of those time frames its to cold for swimming dropping to the high 50's in January and February. Very different climate there then Florida as it does get cold in the winter there is only about a 7 month enjoyable boating season with scattered days out side of that season. No real Sand Bars people hang out like in Florida there are a few islands but once again nothing like what you would call a hang out island in Florida. It is a nice area but your boating experience will honestly be disappointing to what you are used to.

@Eric Ballard you are in the opposite situation then I posted above if you come down to that area for a week in August let me know I will try and be around and make some time to show you around what most people see who have not lived in the area is exactly as you described but living there is not that reality. Boating wise after me showing you around for a few days you will be looking to move to the coast lol its a whole different boating world then inland boating. I would bet @veedubtek and @Ramblin Wreck would agree even with the little time they have spent with me around that area heck @bronze_10 and @GMAN2015 spent very little time with me down here but they may agree the one run they did was a different world then inland boating but its still not Florida.

I couldn't have said it better my self that is exactly what I tell lake boaters when they ask about being on the coast. It doesn't matter how big the lake is unless it connects to coastal waters it always still feels like I'm trapped on the coast my only limit is time and effort.

@Robert, @veedubtek, @Ramblin Wreck
We enjoyed the ICW to Pinopolis locks run enough that we just booked a few nights in Myrtle 8/20 - 8/22 to head down there again to view the 2017 eclipse in totality by boat on the ICW around Mcclellanville. Hopefully weather is good. I heard roads are going to be insane. Hopefully the ICW won't be as much.
