Chap Aluminum trailer

Anyone ever get warranty work done on their trailer? I have a 2016 243 VR that I purchased back in May with the aluminum trailer. Yesterday when I went to get the trailer and load back up, I noticed one of the bunks was broken off. It had completely snapped the front and rear brackets and it was laying on the trailer frame. I just hope it is covered under warranty.

Who makes the trailer?

Coyote. They are the mfg of the chap vortex trailers. I don't (but should) know what the warranty is on the trailers.

@BobJohnson is right. Coyote is the manufacturer of the trailer. I looked at their website, and it said original owners should register their trailer on their website. Although I don't think I ever got any sort of info on the trailer when I bought the boat.

I would think that you would have gotten paper work on the trailer when you bought it? But if not, call them/register it....should have at least a 1 year warranty....

It is unfortunate that your bunk has broken free but awesome that Chap is shipping their boats with aluminum trailers! I wish #Yamaha would offer that option.

Just to clarify @Bruce, the aluminum trailer was a factory upgrade.

Getting my Coyote trailer fixed for my 223 VRX was a nightmare...unreturned phone calls and emails, my dealer was so frustrated. Had continual issues of 3 of the 4 hubs ejecting the grease over and over, every trip out....sizzling hot hubs, grinding sounds, frozen and dragging wheels after sitting for a week or two. Lost weeks and weeks with it at the dealer awaiting instructions and the latest "repack only" warranty permission from Coyote.
Finally after much frustration and phone calls and emails we got permission for a full rebuild. Dealer found everything rusted and non-stainless (paid extra for galvanized trailer as we are in salt water) approached Chap and Coyote to have all parts installed as stainless steel-they refused.....offered that they pay for all labor and I pay for upgraded stainless parts---they refused again and ordered that under warranty only non-stainless parts could be put back in......so in went non-stainless parts.
No issues yet this season, but I CANNOT recommend Coyote trailers.

If u can... buy an aftermarket aluminum trailer and sell the old one like i did... best thing I have done.

well, I dropped it off at the dealer on Tuesday and they said they would take care of it. I guess we will see how it turns out.
