Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say hi. We bought our first boat (2017 SX190) a few weeks ago. We've had it out three times so far: a lot of no-wake on a local creek, a small hi-speed area once we got through break-in, and with a pair of quick peeks at The Bay. We still need practice launching and retrieving but we've been adapting a checklist we got here based on our experiences. Checklists rock!

With 3,500# towing capacity we were originally looking at 19' outboards when my brother mentioned one of his boating buddies has an SX190 they really like. Google led me here, and here sold me on starting out on a Yamaha Jet Boat!

Welcome! It is a great 19' boat, incredibly versatile and a ton of fun to mod.

Hey DutchBoy - welcome! I am kind of sort of near The Bay. I boat on the lower Potomac River down by Cobb Island and Swan Point. If you ever head down to Southern MD waters ....give me shout

Welcome and congrats on the new boat! Make sure to get you an orange stoltz bow roller for your trailer for your first mod. Especially if you have colored paint on boat where bow roller touches. Stock yellow rollers create lots of scratches and marks on the boat

Last year we launched at Stoney Creek. The ramp area can be tricky docking for a noob like me with wind/tide/current but on the weekends you can head upstream and it’s all nowake, cross under the bridge and open up in the small sheltered bay, or make your way out onto the Patapsco.

We’re still trying to figure out where we’ll launch this year. We probably can’t park our boat/trailer where we used to so it depends on whether we use storage or spend for a boatel and where that is.
