So my boats been at the dealer since October, they fixed the little issues I had and were waiting to hear back from Yamaha. My tower has been a pain to put up, you have to basically bend it in slam it down to screw in the port side. The dealer has been great, they tried a bunch of stuff that Yamaha said to try, didn't work. Next step is a new tower. So its still at the dealer for the winter. The tower is on back order funny enough.

I heard of issues with the tower before, even a 24ft tower came down in heavy waves, so I guess its an issue. Basically just needs to be bent correctly from what I can tell, or was not fixture correctly when welded. Either way not my problem, I'm just happy they are fixing it.

Good times

I don't have to slam mine in or anything like yours but on my starboard side has always required me to pull the tower in just a hair so I can screw in the bolt. It's been like that since day one. If anyone didn't know better it would be easy to cross thread just because it does not line up exactly as it should. Takes just a little nudge for mine but still something that is required. I think the issue is when they screw down the base plates they don't have one or both lines up exactly and it makes the tower be slightly out of alignment.
