I have a 2015 24 ft Yamaha AR240 and would like to purchase trailer post guides. The boat rides on a shore lander trailer and I’m not sure which to purchase. Does anyone have any recommendations.

I have links to the ones I bought, plus the light on top in my mods sheet in my signature.

I have an MFI trailer, but I doubt there’s much difference for this application.

You don't measure out beyond the trailer. You gap them from the rub rail. About 1-2" is what you'd aim for. Your boat will eventually push them out a little more over time which is fine. You just don't want them so close that it will rub on the rub rail the whole time backing out and will make retrieving a narrow window or want them so far apart that they're useless in doing what they're intended to do which is keep the stern over the bunks and from kicking out.

Do these really make a difference? I don't seem to have many issues as it is.

If you boat in current or stiff wind then yes these are a great add-on for your trailer. They help keep the stern from swinging out and keep your boat over the bunks. I boat solo a lot on a river and these are great to have. They have easily paid for themselves over the seasons. $99 is a drop in the bucket for a boat or trailer mod that does such a simple yet effective job.

Looking from all angles, It seems that the rub rail hangs slightly over the fender. Hard to eye ball it. Wish there was a set measurement I can measure out. I have them at about 14 inches from the frame which is 2" further out than the fenders farthest point. Still seems kinda short as these hulls are damn tricky.

Beam on your boat is 102". I'd set them at 105/106.
