Picked this up over the winter. Been looking for a few years off and on. Finally sold the camper and re-allocated the funds. We're in Des Moines, so we'll be hitting the resevoirs in the area as well as Okoboji (I'm originally from that area). I really was attracted to the value that the Yamahas provided along with the efficient use of space (i'm an engineering type).
I found a 2011 model in Minnesota and picked it up in February. Had the Thrusters installed prior to pickup. I've been slowly adding a few small things and organizing. It had about 175 hours and seems to be in great shape. So far very pleased. It handles great.
I was a little concerned last week when I pulled it out of the water and discovered some issues on the bottom of the hull. I'm guessing the PO must haved beached it a lot and it simply wore off th gel-coat. What do you guys think? Do I need to do something about it?

Thanks for the replies! Ordering tonight. I'll report back with "after" pics! How long of a keel guard did you apply?

I haven't installed one yet, but what others have recommended is the 8' or 9' ones. I will say that one little bottle of spectrum just was enough to cover mine. But that could just be my inexperience ;). Also I will add that I initially mixed half of the bottle and realized I didn't have enough and had to use the rest. Think I mixed the hardener different the second time. So I recommend mixing the whole bottle.

Good luck and post your results!

I'll be out on all of them to an extent. I have seen a few Yamahas on Saylorville. Some late model 240's or 242's. I've never been to Coralville. How is it?

Project complete. It was prettyptough work honestly. Mostly because you're working upside down the entire time. In any case, I'm so glad that I have the keel guard now. It's comforting for sure. I'll post some pics when it's not raining...
