While back I gave up my work pickup and missed having the utility so I started to search and consult. I then found this a couple of hundred miles away and sold my 1997 2dr Tahoe. This is 2006 with the 6.0 Powerstroke - old man, original setup. I swapped the wheels for Lariat rims with 35s on them and put the power fold mirrors on along wiht a roll-up tonneau cover. Had my diesel mechanic go over it and do the EGR delete and do the oil cooler too. It’ll tow just about anything anywhere. Has the 4 captain’s chairs inside so it is roomy and comy for all. You don’t know the boat is back there.

I have an 06 as well... Cut the cat off and put a small muffler on it... Your mpg will go through the roof.

Added Thuren Fabrication Overland lift, ATX AX202 18x9 wheels and Toyo RTs 35x12.50. Love the way it looks now. Too bad I have to sell since I just got orders to Okinawa...

Update on TV and trailer: Ram received a Juice w/attitude upgrade bumping me over 1,000 pounds of torque and mid 400's on HP. Trailer was replaced with this unit designed by me and built in Ohio:

Making a dumb decision and buying a new one tonight lol. Made the mistake of going to the dealer because I was bored and truck acted funny a few times in the past week. Oh well... fresh warranty, air suspension and better gears for towing... should make my boat trips a bit easier.

The upgrade I made back in October dropped my stress level considerably. Notably while towing, but in other areas as well. Sometimes you just gotta do it. Bad decision or not :D

You talking bout the new 2019 Ram?

The air suspension is a no brainier for towing...

Random but what are the optimal gear ratios for towing?
