Hello all, I have searched and searched for an answer to this but cannot find anything. Does anyone have any experience with how long it takes for boesheild to dry? I sprayed it on my engines yesterday evening so its sat overnight and now I've had them with the hatch open in the sun all morning and it doesn't seem to have dried at all. Still wet and slippery. Says on the can that heat could cause it to catch fire so I'm worried about taking the boat out, had planned on taking it out today but thought it would be dry by now. I've gone and wiped a lot of the excess off but that still hasn't dried yet either. Any experience with this? Should I rinse off and try again? Thanks!

I believe you should have a slight waxy finish after applying it.

If I remember correctly you spray it on and then wipe it off, and it leaves a protective film.

If you are asking about T-9 there is no concern. Like any good lubricant, petroleum or silicone based, it will leave a sheen on a surface.
T-9 is amazing and completely safe to use on everything inside the engine bay. The only not so great things about it is: It will leave a tan-colored residue with extensive use, and the cans have a tendency to not empty all the way - which PISSES ME OFF to the point I switched to CRC 656.

Thanks for the replies! I was going to go with the 656 but they were out of stock so decided to get t9 after I read good reviews. I'm thinking I sprayed too much on as its dripping down into the bilge and puddled up in some areas. I've wiped as much as I can down. Thinking I may try 656 next time. I wont worry about the sheen left on there and go have some fun. Thanks!
