Not mine, unfortunately, but we have used this tractor to launch boats and pontoons at Jim Wood’s resort, Bull Shoals, AR.
The thing is awesome.

Not a Toyota fan, but really like the desert sand color. Saw a tundra today in the color lifted on 35’s with black wheels and it looked great.

Traded in the 13 Avalanche for this, hope its as reliable

Beautiful truck, had both a 13 and 17 and neither ever had a single piece of warranty work done, hopefully you have the same luck!

Boy that thing has some experience on it. Those old tractors always cool to look over and be amazed at the simple solutions the engineers of that time came up with.

We looked at some property on the Ohio a few years back. Came with a boat storage "membership". The property the membership was on was very small compared to the number of boats they had to store. So you essentially turned over your boat and trailer to them, and they stored it on the property for you. If you wanted to to either trailer somewhere else, or to launch in the Ohio, you just called ahead, and they would bring it out. They had a similarly "experienced" tractor they used to launch and retrieve. I asked about what the "backup plan" was for when the tractor went down. The response I got was "don't know, been using this tractor every week for 20 years and never needed a backup".

Bought another Cayenne Diesel and threw some new shoes on her this evening.

Whats something like that run used if you don't mind me asking? We're trying to decide if we're keeping or selling the wifes traverse. Trying to keep the budget around $30k or so.

My tow rig is a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.4L AWD. Added a Derale 13503 transmission cooler and pulled it 25 miles from the dealership. Put the SFS in sport mode and manually shifted. Did just fine on the highway. Now stored 1 mile from the lake, with the occasional 8 mile trip home for a wax job.

BTW, pulls the SX195 out of the water just fine. No strain or wheel spin.

@2kwik4u - Paid just under 30K for this one. Also good to note - the 13/14's have a 6 yr/100K warranty thanks to the dieselgate thing, plus an additional 4/48 starting at the modification date. The 15/16's (from my understanding, haven't verified this yet) have a 6yr/unlimited warranty + the additional 4/48. From my research, that 6 yr warranty is equivalent to the new car warranty, it's a pretty sweet deal.

Not withstanding, with enough patience, you can find one that hasn't been fixed - and pocket ~$9000 when you get it fixed.

And, of course, the mpg's aren't bad either-

Excellent info. That warranty makes the sell to the wife on a used car a LOT more palatable. I mean if we're gonna spend $30k I think the sell to drive a porsche instead of a chrysler is a pretty easy sell otherwise.

The 5.3 suburban with 125k wouldn’t pull the 242x the way I want up to Tahoe. So I upgraded last night. 6.2l v8. More towing capacity as well. 2018 Yukon xl Denali. 22”s. Love it
