like the title states- any thoughts on removing the big Bimini top to get the 242x into the garage? The door opening is 9’. Then by next year I could raise the door header.

Personally, with all the wiring, speakers, and the meer size I would think better to wait till your door is bigger! JMHO

Correct me if I’m wrong- but no speaker wires run through the Bimini top, only the solar charge wires. Taking it off once and then putting it back on in the spring doesn’t seem too bad to get her indoors....
It’s really not that big, maybe a bit heavy and only 2 bolts....

Does the wiring have connectors that can just be unplugged? Would seem to me from the size of it in aluminum the frame would be a two person lift so two people to support while fasteners are undone then hand down to two folks on the ground. Sounds like the answer is beer.

The wiring for the solar panels has a connector on the port side. Just unplug it. In addition to the 2 large bolts you have mentioned, there are 2 small lock screws that need to be removed first. Look aft at the Bimini supports...the lock screws will be visible. Make sure you have at least 3 people. 2 in the boat, one on the ground to hand it off.

The wakeboard racks also had to be removed. With tower folded I had plenty of room. Once in, the tower can fold up easily. Looks like I’ll be raising the door header come spring. That should allow it to fit with the Bimini attached.

I stand corrected....I thought you were talking about taking the entire tower off. Looks like it wasnt too bad. Glad you were able to get you boat inside for the winter!
