Just curious. Has anyone seen a Vortex make the Bimini run yet? I’m very interested with my 223. It sounds like Bimini Sands is a bit iffy this year and I probably wouldn’t be ready for this summer, either. But next year is a definite possibility that I’m looking at. Anyone else? I’d go with the Yamaha group for sure since they’re very experienced in the cruise over.

I have the same boat as you (2017). I was gun-ho for Bimini this year but from what others are saying, it's in disarray. So Bimini is out. I'm trying to make plans to go to the Bahamas this summer. Just have to get things worked out (time and $$) before I commit. I don't think there will be any issues with our boats making the journey. I've watch videos of jet-skis making the trip. As others have mentioned there's a ton of info in these threads on various trips.

How do you like you boat? Which twins do you have?

Love the boat. I have the twin 200’s which is plenty of power for us. The Bahamas are a bit of a stretch for us. I prefer to start with something close by and then expand my horizons later. The wife isn’t too thrilled about the Bimini run, but I’d probably put her on the ferry or plane and meet her there.

Understood...I've been boating since 1989 but always stayed close to shore and only in the states. Looking forward to new adventures. Hopefully Bimini will be better and ready next summer. I'd love to go.

@Rick215HO has done that once or twice, he loved it. He had a windshield issue in 2017 but it was very rough.
I think @fromrio had a 24(?) Chaparral there but it was an i/o if I remember correctly.
