The file still says its in the right format and it says the files are around 3-4 gigs each, but nothing will open them. It just 0.00 for time. I am going to dig into it. I was also just turning the camera off with out hitting stop first?? that may have something to do with it from my research. Will keep ya posted.

@OCMD That video was really cool. I'm always impressed by how often refs get most of the calls right when they watch them happen in real time and while watching for a million things. It always seems so easy for the commentators in the booth to criticize when they know exactly what they are looking for, where it is going to happen and can look at it from different angles at super duper slow motion.

Just as an FYI for anyone following this previously. We went to the lake today and recorded pretty much the entire day with the new official memory card and I had zero issues. No lost footage! Finally.

I got mine earlier this week and messed with it for a few hours this morning. Very cool. It's going to take a while to get used to the software, but it looks like it's a lot of fun once I get everything figured out.

Below is the micro SD card I'm using on my GOPRO Hero 3+. Does anyone have any suggestions on settings so my videos are clearer on YOUTUBE? I did this one yesterday at the dog park and it is crystal clear when I watch it in the GOPRO Software, but when I upload it to youtube it appears a bit grainy. I filmed it in 1080/60.

@HawkTX I have the same card. Don't have that issue. I use veimo not utube not sure if that has anything to do with it. But I don't believe the card is the issue. As long as it looks great on the computer you should be good.

Two things I've noticed are that I sometimes have issues with the videos taken (I.e., either I am unable to retrieve them directly from the camera or unable to view them at all) if I format the card while it is in a card reader instead of in the camera.

Also regarding video quality, I think it Is best addressed when I use gopros free editing sw. Before exporting the resulting file to be uploaded I have to choose the resolution of the final edited video. If I choose the resolution optimal for gopro it is sometimes grainy (depending on the resolution I recorded it in). To assure it is clear regardless of the viewing size I simply export it at the same resolution it was recorded in, in my case hd 720. Keep in mind that recording time and battery life decrease as recording resolutions and frame rates increase and the higher the export resolution the longer it will take for viewers to down load and see it.
