Would you buy an FSH again??

3-years next month with 150 hours! About 10 trips to Keys (Marathon/Islamorada/Key Largo. I SCUBA dive off it (swim deck is perfect for scuba!), Fish off it, and hang out with friends and family on it! Easy to maintain and easy do it yourself maintenance (oil change/spark plugs etc.). I go to boat shows all the time and always leave saying, "Nothing as good or better than what I got for the price!" After my upgrades (full Seadek/Upgraded stereo & speaker system and other odds and ends) it my perfect boat! No regrets and yes I would buy again!

Corey I feel the same way after walking out of the boat shows.

Well right now I am on the fence, I love almost everything about my 210 FSH Sport except for the issue with Seaweed, I have made several modifications and the boat is perfect for us, but the Seaweed may make us give up on Jet boats altogether. Will be spending the summer in the Fl. Keys again and depending on how well or bad it does with the Weeds, we will keep it or go back to an OB. We love the layout and would love to keep it for a long time, well at least until which time Yamaha brings out a 24 of 27 FSH.

I pick mine up tomorrow, going from a 2016 242 Limited SE to a 2019 210 FSH Sport. I live in Florida and we fi d our selves wanting to fish more and more. I have gotten so many mod ideas from the group I can't wait to start.

I just took mine 30 miles off shore here in Northern Florida with absolutely zero issues. Had a great day of bottom fishing. I never didn't feel safe, this is of course my opinion. Just wondering where another 21ft boat would make me feel safer?

So... about 15 overheat alarms, stopping every 15 minutes to unclog the engines, with my entire family aboard is a joke! Maybe in clear water up near the pan handle, you wouldn't have problems. I have heard that down there, also another member also said he had the same issues and it cost him a lot of money after it was all said and done.

I have heard the issues with these boats and seaweed, in my mind when boat shopping I’m going to consider the environment I’ll be using it in. Nothing against the members that have had issues, but IF I boat in a region that has known issues with weeds a jet boat would not be on my short list because of how they operate. Same reason I drive a 4x4 pickup for work across the upper Midwest. 90% of the time, a diesel Volkswagen Golf would be a better choice. Quicker, more pleasant to park, waaaaaayyyyyyy better fuel economy. In February, driving from Detroit to Chicago or Minneapolis in a snowstorm, that same hatchback makes no sense. Again, I understand some people were given a “sell job” on these boats and I feel for them, but I don’t think that necessarily falls on the boat itself any more than it falls on Volkswagen for not making a Golf better in a blizzard.

That would be me, and yes the issue is terrible. I bought the boat last summer and had a nightmare, overheating constantly and wound up having to rebuild a motor that only had 8 hours on it (to this day I think the dealer screwed me, but that's another issue altogether). These boats are not made for anything except clean water. Because of the costs I have to get at least another summer out of the boat, our summer home is in the Keys so let's see what happens this summer.

I will also be in the keys for a week in July, I sure hope that I can avoid the weed. Up here in Flagler Beach we just don't have but a few large patches and easily avoidable. But so far extremely happy with the boat. Doing the trim tab and Simrad install this weekend.

That brings up the question, are there always sargassum weed in the keys?

This is the kind of crap I had to deal with last summer. Again it is not the boats fault, but it is not a South Florida boat IMO.

WOW excuse my ignorance I have never seen it that bad. I sure hope it is not that bad when I am down there. I can only assume the jetski's are having the same kind of trouble.

I see myself using my trolling motor to go through that......

Wow that's nasty! Surprised any motor wouldn't have problems.

Well if you notice my 2 skis are parked right behind my boat, and that's where they stayed many days. It was not always that bad, but bad enough to make it a frustrating summer. So we either buy another summer home, or another boat. I think the boat loses...LOL

Ya but before you buy a but, I wouldn't have to expect to do a thread search of where and how I can and should use my boat. In fact, I live 6 hours away from the keys, so the likelihood of me ever bringing it back in the next year is slim to none

Flagler is nice! My daughter lives there and I'm I'm Orlando. If I were you I would seriously consider renting a boat in the keys! It'll pay for itself by the time you figure out the fuel to tow it here from Flagler. I'd rent an outboard here and not worry about the weeds. According to all of the info I've found, the sargasm is worse in the summer so I promise you'll be miserable. We went out fishing today in 20 knot winds and the chop pushed the weeds down so no problems today except 2 sea sick girls in the gulf.

I imagine that there is always Sargasm but a quick Google search and the past several years have been a problem for the Keys and the rest of S. Florida.
