My new to me $2,500 tow vehicle. Sole purpose to tow the boat and the people with it. It’s tow capacity will allow to me to grow to the 242x eventually instead of just the 190.

Sweet trucks! Done anything under the hood on the F150? I see a few visual upgrades like the front end and suspension and wheels.
Thanks! It was a Roush to begin with so it already had a cold air intake, suspension and exhaust. I added a programmer, larger throttle body, coils and under drive pulleys. Waiting for the 250 to be out of warranty and straight pipe, tune and delete it.

That explains why it looks so good on the front end. The Roush trucks of that era always looked so good. I had a Lariat version in your truck that was a 2001 with the 5.4 and we loved that truck. Once you get rid of the emissions crap on your diesel it'll become a whole new truck. That's what happened when I did my Ram. Your right foot will determine how long your transmission will live so be careful.

The only thing Roush on the front end is the bumper cover. The grille shell is chrome on the 2wd trucks. I opted for the paintable Lightning shell while it was in for surgery. Shaved the fenders for a clean/de-badged look. The hood is a Cervini's, bought 2 grilles and cut up the second for matching upper and lowers. Added the headlights and removed all the door body side moldings. The tailgate is shaved too with the handle moved to the inside.

@swatski Do you tow with that front window open, or were you just fresh out of the water?

Second. I see a signature pick of Lake Mead, now a trip to Glen Canyon. You guys do a yearly "out west" vacation, or is that more frequent? Any tips/tricks/insights to travelling long distances with the boat? We're doing our first "out of state" travel with the boat in a few weeks, and have aspirations to go further in coming years.

We were fresh out of the water and I decided to take advantage of the empty road to Wahweap (unusually)!

Our trip schedule is totally random, great idea for a thread and sharing notes! We have already learned a thing or two on this trip.
