The fix is in place for the singles. If youd like we can send you some beta parts if that would help...

We've tested a few 195's. I think the next beta we do will be non AK 190 models... is that what the other gentleman was talking about?

Yeah, I guess I can see how you can call it a trap. But I’ve come to seeing it a different way.

We came very close to going full time wake boat in recent years. Every time we came so close, we backed off as we reminded ourselves how much we can actually do with Yamaha that we would not be comfortable doing with the bigger wake boat...

Basically, the way I see it, 24’ Yamaha JB is about the largest boat Im willing to comfortably trailer across the country - on a moment’s notice, without much prep, and minimal planning. And we do trailer, a lot, seeing different places all the time.

Surfing is just one more thing I can do with this boat, and if you seen my wave, all with a 10 minute set up, it’s totally worth it.

We have friends with big wake boats who are now looking at Yamahas, no joke. Because they see what we can do - traveling coast to coast and still doing surfing - about as much as they do. And we’re not stuck in one place.

I get it. Our kids grew up on this boat with my youngest from kindergarten to now a senior in high school. Wouldn't have considered until now. It was the perfect boat at the perfect time. I have a nice wave too and we essentially float and enjoy the lake, listen to music, and surf. Filling up bags, putting on swim deck and on seats, wedge, getting in and out, changing sides, etc. etc. is a PITA. There is a lot of variety in surf/wake boats these days, so you can't really throw them all in to one big bucket like you used to. Sure some are on the high end on cost but there are some really good boats at the same price point as the new 242x. We got a steal in 2008 at around $34K for ours...now you are looking at about $80K. A little bit of apples and oranges. We have some friends just bought Axis A24. Pretty nice boat. Wouldn't mind having it now.

I agree. I just have no interest no matter how much I try, and i look at them all the time.
To me all the wake boats these days look the same... just get bigger and bigger.
Purpose built, like a minivan.

Okay maybe not a minivan. A stretched limo.
Lol.

So I spent yesterday on the water with the TVW in my twin 212X - and overall I'm very impressed. Things to keep in mind and tips - make SURE your up stops are set at exactly the same height on both sides of the pump. One of mine must have not been tightened enough and backed off a bit. This caused the TVW to bounce a bit under mid throttle and caused some spray. Once that was fixed the next tip is make sure your pumps are perfectly aligned. Mine as I found out were not (I forgot I was trying something surf-pointe-ish last year). If your pumps are off it will feel like a car with a flat tire and pull that direction.

Once that was sorted we tubed and wake-boarded. There was a decent amount of spray the first 6 feet off the boat at 14mph, but the boarder was perfectly dry and the wake was much cleaner for jumping. We were running with all ballast full at that point.
Tubing was great too - I do look forward to lighter steering, but it was not a show stopper. No spray was reported by my kids.

Things I will probably do in the future is find a piece of tubing (probably automotive brake line) to slide over the up-stop cam and re-adjust the up-stops to accommodate. When they transition from down to up you can feel the bump through the whole boat. Actually surprised me the first time.

Next time out we will try surfing, but this time we had 2 big old purpose built wake boats with us (Axis and MB) so there was no point in setting up. Thanks @JetBoatPilot for the hard work. These things with some tweaks will be awesome.

Thank you for the feedback! We're hearing nothing but great things on the beta parts that we just shipped out last week.

The new parts will be shipping to us soon and we'll get them out to those who've already received shipments first. We also hope to have enough parts to begin shipping orders which have not shipped yet. With some luck we'll have all the parts out before the 4th of July.

When will you be able to fill all the orders that have not been shipped? Where I live summer is almost half way over. We only have so many more trips planned to our lake house. If it’s going to around late July am I able to cancel my order for full refund? If I’m not able to be on the water with it this summer I’d rather wait. 😟😤

Call my office and make sure they put you on the expedited parts list so that we prioritize your shipment. We plan to have all orders shipped out before the 4th of July.

If you like to support a special way of product development @JetBoatPilot uses here, than yeah - wait for the expedited parts.
(I'm sure those will work great, thoroughly tested, lol.)

Otherwise get your money back and run. What else do you need to see?????
Ask yourself this: "Do I really want to epoxy glue those steering components to my new boat?" :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Looks like you may be ready for a nice pair of TVWs!

Not me, I don't see the cost:benefit ratio making sense when there are other products (either Yamaha or Gatlin) that appear to provide very good results at a similar or lower price point. Also I'm too uncoordinated to surf and a longer rope takes care of the tubing spray :)

I’ll look forward to your product review.
Just make sure the glue holding your steering to your boat cures real well before you head out.

LMAO, why the hell are you getting all worked up over a product you obviously aren’t buying or care about? Just bored on a Wednesday and deciding to troll a little? Why don’t you go take a break from the internet for a bit, tough guy.
