With the craziness of the weather here in NC recently, I'm thinking boating season is all but over. I've been looking at winterizing in the next few weeks, and wanted thoughts on the below pack. Seems like a good price too?

Do you guys recommend putting old spark plugs back in after fogging vs doings new plugs at the same time? Was thinking the oil when burnt off first start of the year might foul the new plugs?

@BlkGS Im in NJ , a lot cooler than NC ..water and air temp yesterday was in the 60s and i was wakeboarding ...Cmon man , you have another month at least

It was 80s last week. Lows in the 40s this week. We probably have a few weeks, but unfortunately our schedules aren't going to cooperate with that. Sadly next boat related activities will likely be putting it up for the season and getting the seats out for new covers.

So do y'all change plugs after fogging, or after starting up in spring? I was leaning towards doing that and oil in spring....

Change Oil now. Then fogging. Leave old plugs for winter.
Restart in spring with old plugs to burn fogging oil. Then put new plugs in.
At least this is how I do it.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but what is the reason for putting fresh oil in for the off season.

I do the same only change oil in the spring.

There are two schools of thought on this: One says you want clean oil in your engine so junk doesn't settle out over the winter. The other says you should change it in the spring to eliminate moisture picked up over the winter.

I've seen manuals on some small engines recommend changing oil before AND after storage. (I'm assuming the writer's spouse is employed by the petroleum industry.)

So if you want to be super-cautious you can always do both....
