    Repair dock ding on fiberglass?

is the ding down below the gelcoat? can you feel your fingernail catch if you run it along the ding? If so then you are going to need to consult SPECTRUM and get the appropriate gelcoat paste and do a fix. Most of us have done them it really isn't a big deal. Good luck

    Loss of power

I would suspect bad gas even though it was treated. The plugs are pre gapped normally so I would not think that to be the problem. Retreat the gas with the RED HEET let it sit overnight and see how she does.

    Loss of power

Did the boat start back up or are you having to be towed in? If you can run how long has the gas in the tank been setting? Check the swim platform hatch to make sure it is secure, there is a kill switch underneath it and if it bouncing up and down it will kill the engine. Let us know

    Private purchase

Actually the seller should be doing all the leg work. He should call Yamaha and obtain a 30 day payoff for the boat, some lenders will even fax or email the quote for you to see. He should ask Yamaha how they want to handle the transaction with electronic transfers from your bank to the lender...

Dang comm error - comes and goes! (speedo or transducer?)

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a couple of days and seeing if that does a reset? I've read that in some cases that will clear codes.

How can I prevent my mooring buoy from scuffing my hull?

I have seen these used on larger boats while docked. They are expensive so I think if it is an option I would go buy a cheap $5 t-shirt, place the buoy in the shirt tie it at the bottom and see if it does the trick...you could buy a pack of 10 t-shirts for the price of one of these.

Anyone know what this is used for?

It looks like what I used to get power from to our Garmins when I installed both the units we have had, but I don't see the black wire in that pick. If it has a black wire you can tap into that plug for power.

Stereo head unit crapped out, looking for recommendations

we love our marine audio (stock) on or '18 SX195, great app, sound. That being said if you go to Crutchfield and can find a unit that has a wiring harness that would be great. Bluetooth is awesome so consider adding bluetooth.

How do you use your post guide-ons?

We (by that I mean my wife, she loads the boat onto the trailer) uses them for both visual and for support in the event the wind/current are out of hand. She really only needs the support when its bad out at the time of loading. Our guide posts are a lot snugger than what yo have in the...

    Mildew on seats

DO NOT use chlorine it may get the mildew off but it will also degrade the thread in the seats and they will eventually dry rot away....We haven't had an issue but @haknslash suggested a great product that we have used for cleaning and its safe for the seats by MaryKate. We live up in North...

New to all this. Go used or go new?

:Welcome: You've come to the right place for all the questions you have now and the questions to come. As far as new or used its a ongoing debate but a short answer is that if you are going to look new you are going to pay close to MSRP on these boats, the dealer may sweeten the deal with in...

SX190 Transducer mounting and Cobra Fins

I think it looks great :winkingthumbsup" . If you start loosing the bottom at speed you may want to try and lower the transducer further. I wish I could bring myself to drill a hole in the hull to mount mine but I just can't... :nailbiting:
