    pardon my lack of knowledge

No dumb questions here just answers! Here is a LINK so you can find more about the parts on your boat!

    so uh...I broke something yesterday.

I'm no expert but the pics look to be fine maybe some wear marks in the impeller housing unit and light marks on the one blade of the impeller (at the 4 o'clock position) but from what I can see nothing to serious... :winkingthumbsup" , but I'm sure some of the folks who are far more intimately...

Yes that should be part#21 on the Jet Unit#3 link I sent earlier.

    so uh...I broke something yesterday.

IMHO the boat should not be run until you get a clearer idea of to what extent the possible damage has caused. I would start by sticking a flash light into the intake grate and doing a quick visual inspection of the impeller and liner, then proceeding with a tear down for my own piece of mind...

    so uh...I broke something yesterday.

Running these boats in shallow water can be hazardous to the impeller and intake system...even sand, silt, or mud can really wreak havoc...Here is a good THREAD to see what can happen and the repairs that may need to be done.

    so uh...I broke something yesterday.

Steering Plate, Ride Plate I would look at partspak and iboats for other prices. When you got hung up were you reving the engine or did you get out and push. If you were using the engine I would venture to say you may have ingested rock, sand or other foreign objects into the intake.

New Member Learning Everything I can Before Purchase!

We own and have owned 190's and boat in the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa Bay area and the boats do fine. Now we don't boat if the forecast is anything above light chop (1-3 ft seas), anything above those conditions can get real uncomfortable and sometimes quite nautical...We have learned that in...

    need fiberglass repair help

From what I can see it looks like the gelcoat is in need of some work but no damage to the fiberglass. I would use my thumb and push around to make sure there is no fiberglass damage just to be sure but I doubt the glass is damaged by the pic you posted. With that said I would start out...

    Stoltz Roller Question

We had a '13 SX190 and now own a '18 SX195 and I have installed the same STOLTZ ROLLER from SturdyBuilt and they are perfect on our boat/s.

    Faded

If you are talking gelcoat then you need to do what restores gelcoat not topcoat on a vehicle two different surfaces, and approaches. I use a mequiars kit for RV's and boat that is simple and works well LINK, I use chemical guys products and they are great but there are great marine products...

    Gel Coat Scratch On Underside?

When I did a couple of patches on our '13 SX190 I cleaned then patched. Just didn't want any foreign objects between the new and the old gelcoat.

    Gel Coat Scratch On Underside?

I would agree that more than likely its from the forklift moving the boat, those are really thin but I would still want to find the source. Maybe the next time they move the boat ask them to let you take a look underneath to check for where the shavings came from, also when they pick it off the...

    What trailer post size

IMHO the 60's are easier to pick up and guide to, just a personal thing though, we are older and need all the cues we can get :nailbiting:

Help with retrieving boat in crosswind!

Loading is a challenge almost anytime, you add wind and current it becomes down right stressful, especially in front of an audience! My wife loads our boat and does a great job in all conditions but we committed to taking time during the week when the ramps aren't as busy to go out just to...

    FL Insurance Cost

I would ask your agent...here is a good idea of the difference for boat insurance: What Is Agreed Value Boat Insurance? Agreed Value boat insurance is a type of coverage that has an agreed upon amount that the owner will receive should something happen to their boat. Not all accidents and...
