On another note. The EV fire debate is about to heat up again. Tons of houses burned down here over the past few days. If I still owned own and was in an evac zone, the car would be miles from my house.

Curious on your thoughts on this in a year. I always order our cars with the bigger tank. Less trips to gas station is nice, more importantly in case of emergency I can get pretty far north without stopping.

    Hurricane

100 miles off shore and the surge was brutal for St. Pete and Clearwater. Our home was fine but going on 30 hours without power. The barrier islands saw up to 9 feet surge. This one hit real. People on my Facebook groups begging to be saved, stuck on roofs and attics. police wouldn’t allow...

No joke - we were leaving my house and driving to the end of the block, probably 150 yards away.. in all seriousness... my wife asked if the people at the end of the block get a cybertruck? Nope - they just had a silver junk dumpster placed on the side of the road lol Almost every one I see is...

Congrats! 1-6 weeks is a great time frame. I see these everywhere down here, so I assume people are liking them. I also see Cybertrucks everywhere so who knows lol.

When I bought the 911 my wife told me to trade it in. Wasn’t my plan to trade it but we did. Wasn’t a bad car, only put like 15k on it. If we kept it, it’d probably be gone by now because the back door suck with a car seat. The PHEV idea is great concept and the 28 miles range is pretty good for...

Correct, I’ve owned a Tesla Model 3 and a Jeep 4XE and now back to two full ice cars. I’ve discussed pros and cons of both in other posts.

I think most people don’t give two shits about the climate when it comes to cars. Consumer cars have minimal impact compared to commercials transportation. Anyways…. This is a crap article. No data points plus this admission “Put differently: The idea that his work shows EVs are worse for the...

One thing I liked about the Cayenne, and Q7 - not sure if X5 has it - was the rear seats could slide forward or back for more cargo space. I would disagree on performance. The Cayenne S is still sub 4 0-60. putting it pretty close to a M60.

New car wise ( can't speak to older gens) We found the Cayenne larger in the right areas over the Q7 and X5. Cayenne sits lower than X5 but backseat feels much larger (I think it is wider). We tested them all with a car seat. We don't need a third row so it was kinda useless in the Q7. Tech is a...

No different than the Q7. Based on my research, they are quite a bit more reliable. (especially compared to the non SQ7 engine). Take it to a certified independent. I use one for my 911, dealer wanted 1k for oil and brake fluid. They charged me $400.

Have you looked at Cayenne's? A bit pricier but we both loved the new Cayenne compared to the SQ7. I had a pretty base one for a few days as a rental and I preferred that over the loaded SQ7.

While riding it I was already thinking about putting matte ppf over the gloss black lol… that would help a lot with the glare.

Agreed on SQ7. We got sorta close to buying one. I didn’t like all the piano black touch screen stuff everywhere. Hated the screen for AC controls. At 110k it didn’t feel anything worth that. Also felt slow to me but everything feels slow these days lol

Get the manual. The car is built for a stick, and feels like it should have one... even though the PDK is great.

For his requirements he may have to do some work. He can add brakes for under 1k. The car is well under his 100k threshold. Side note, I never knew they published tow rating for brake or no brake trailers.
