Yamaha Tools needed to remove the flywheel

Not the right thing, but I just use a small screwdriver and wedge it in the starter gear to keep it from moving while I pop the flywheel off.

    MR1 low oil pressure

It was a brand new SBT, not referb. If they were referb, I think it would have been much better. I don't think their self manufactured blocks are in spec. That's why I am just putting the wave runner motor in and calling it a day.

    MR1 low oil pressure

I'm glad yours is working out for you. I just couldn't get a good motor from SBT.

    MR1 low oil pressure

We haven't done much since the pandemic hit, going to sell it with the boat.

    MR1 low oil pressure

Well, that didn't last. I finally gave up on SBT and bought a FXHO jetski (58 hours) to pull a good Yamaha brand motor from, installing it now. We are going to sell the boat, since we just bought a Baja boat. We no longer do the water sports and want to go fast!

    Port engine milky oil 2006 AR210 MR1

Definitely do NOT go the SBT route, junk engines from them. I am on my 3rd from them with the 2 year no fault warranty, that just expired. The engine also expired and threw a rod, so I am out 2 years, 4 motor swaps (including this one) and my $3500

    Port engine milky oil 2006 AR210 MR1

Im sorry, but that does look milky to me. Same thing happened to one of my MR1 motors, my oil looked the same. Do a crackle test on the oil.

Lake Mohave- Kathrines landing to Hoover Dam

We just got back from Willow Beach, you can't go north of Willow Beach with a motor boat on Sundays and Mondays, keep that in mind when you make your plans.

Rebuilt MR1 - low oil light, hard to start, oil/gas in exhaust

Is it a deal rebuild or a new motor from SBT? If SBT, this is a known issue with their MR1 motors, far out of spec. I went through 4 over 2 years (had to pull and install myself) before I got one that would actually hold oil pressure, still low, but high enough to run WOT.

Please help. Thru-Hull needed at least 2.5" in length.

Why can't you grind out enough on the inside for the shorter one to fit? Just large enough for the through hull.

2005 AR230 dash rebuild instead of new boat

I do have some more pictures: I started by building a metal frame and then used wood and fiberglass to shape it

    Will this... tow this...

THIS! Its not about what you can pull but what you can stop! I had someone towing a boat with a jeep rear end my boat and truck because they were oveweight and couldn't stop. A jeep (cj5) can't stop a boat, a jeep can barely stop a jeep.

2005 AR230 dash rebuild instead of new boat

Hmmm, the only thing I wish I did was to engrave the vinyl to label what each button does. Other than that, I still love it and my wife know to to use it really well.

Oil pressure thread size and metric pitch

The “T” in NPT stands for taper. Its designed to get tighter as you screw them together. I thought the same as you, what the?! But it fits

Oil pressure thread size and metric pitch

Yep, they are. I had to re-tap mine, dont ask…. This way they can use any oil pressure sender, instead of a custom one.

    MR1 low oil pressure

Got the motor back from SBT again (3rd motor), installed it and this time the oil is not aerating, the pressure is lower than I would like but it is stable. Fingers crossed it holds up. I still have till June for the warranty, so I plan on running the piss out of it till then.
