    Sunchill float christening

We love our Sunchill. Makes a nice "pool" in the lake for our youngest boy!

    212x Wakeboard rack pin

Apparently the metal portion of these pins threads into the handle and one of mine fell out coming home from our last trip. Before I spend $65 on a whole new piece, anyone know if you can just get the metal screw in portion??

    Best Trailer Tongue Jack

Still holding up well? I think I am going to pick one of these up today and get it put on tonight hopefully.

    trailer tires

Stock tires on my last boat. Rated to carry the load with a buffer. I have heard plenty of praise of the newer Endurance line. However, I was not alone by any stretch with my luck on the Marathons. Had a friend that one failed on as well as one that failed on my brother's boat.

    trailer tires

After blowing out three GY Marathons years ago, I swore I would never put another GY trailer tire on anything I own. I, instead, have been running Carlisle Radial Trail HDs. I have had great luck with them so far and have them on my camper, boat trailer, and utility trailer.

    Savannah, GA area trip ideas?

Jay, thanks for the very generous amount of info and advice! We leave next Saturday and will be there a week. We did the same type of trip last year at Crooked River State Park down around Jekyll and Cumberland Island areas. So much to see and explore, it was a blast. Hoping for the same type...

    Navionics app will not route

I was trying to get it resolved before I go on a boating vacation in about a week. Looks like I will be giving Garmin a try as well.

    Navionics app will not route

Well... that didn't work out. Uninstalled it and then could not find it to download again. Went to their website to find this:

    Navionics app will not route

I have never had a problem with Navionics until I used it for the first time this season. It will no longer give an actual route. It only puts a straight line to the point I am trying to route to. Anyone else seen this or know a fix? Thanks!

2008 Yamaha VX Sport - low on power

Nope. The sport model doesn't have that option. Our VX Cruiser does, but there is an obvious light that comes on in the display to tell you.

2008 Yamaha VX Sport - low on power

Revs fast to 8000 under no load. We had impeller issues on the other last year and it would cavitate terribly when getting on plane. This one does not cavitate, just has no power under a load. Swapping impellers is still a good idea that I can try!

2008 Yamaha VX Sport - low on power

I'm not too worried about speed. But it is noticeably down on power compared to the other VX I have. 6000 rpms out of the hole takes some time to get it on plane! The other goes straight to 8000 and gets on plane well enough to pull up a 200lb skier. It also tops out about 47mph.

2008 Yamaha VX Sport - low on power

Recently purchased a new to me 2008 VX Sport and double trailer to go with my 2007 VX Cruiser. Test drove it quickly after work and all seemed fine. After first trip out on the lake, it's obvious it is down on power. When accelerating to get on plane, it only gets to about 6000-6500 rpms and...

    Lake Keowee

Keowee remains a favorite for me. We were just there a couple weeks ago. I also moved from the upstate to a little down the road in Laurens and we are much closer to Lake Greenwood now. But, we will still frequent Keowee because all it has to offer is hard to match on any other lake around here...

    I miss my Yamaha

Hilarious to even compare those two boats.

    I miss my Yamaha

I see people talk about Yamahas riding bad here or there and I have never understood it. My 21' rides as good, or better, than any other bowrider I have been on in the same size/class.

Tow vehicles - maximum tow rating

We tow our 212x with an Explorer Sport with the 3.5 Ecoboost. I tow the camper with my F150 that also has the 3.5 Ecoboost. Zero complaints on how both perform. I am a huge fan of the Ecoboost platform and the Explorer tows the boat way way better than expected!
