Moving to The Dark Side. Pilot House w/F300. Just because... it's Atlantic Northeast.

Thank God @swatski I thought, when you said you were moving to the dark side you meant the other Yamaha forum. Parker's are great seaworthy boats. We see several on the ocean here on Cape Cod. Enjoy.

    2006 MFI Brake Light Replacement

That's exactly the same as mine @zipper. The bulbs don't appear to be replaceable as they are sealed in the clear watertight compartment. I just ordered the new led units that @Billtex2000 suggested. I also ordered these heat shrink waterproof connectors from Ebay...

    Flushing the engines

Installing the tow valves will bypass the intake below the boat and only accept water from the hose. I've been doing this for 9 years, using fresh water with Salt Away while sitting in salt water.

    2006 MFI Brake Light Replacement

Anybody replace break light bulbs in a 2006 MFI trailer? Got the lens off. Exposed the water tight bulb compartment but can only get the right side out. Looks like the left side just has a tab that slides into a slot. It's loose but won't come out. Also wondering how to get into the watertight...

Spark plug stuck in AR 195. Can anyone make me smarter on this

So stuck at 100hr service. Is the first time this dealer has worked on your boat? Did they do an earlier inspection (10 hr)? Do you have the YES warranty?

Could be a high tension leak on a coil. Check for burn spots on the rubber coil boot.

    Yamaha SR 230 Starter install

Before you remove the engine...I'm thinking your starter gear is getting hung up on your engine flywheel as that is what the starter motor engages to turn the the engine over. Remove the four spark plugs on that engine. That will allow you to be able to turn the engine over by hand either at the...

    Engine RPM Significant Issue

Hmm. What did you have for lunch? Just kidding. With something like this I would start with easy, less expensive possibilities first rather than starting with a brain transplant. Start with putting Sea Foam in the gas tank as you may have a dirty injector. You may need 4 - 5 cans for a full...

    HELP

Spark plugs are often the problem on our boats. They should be changed once a year or every other depending on use. Make sure you use OEM plugs not equivalent plugs.

    Engine Overheating

The few pieces of river weed you found were likely part of a larger clump that dropped out when you shut down. This is not untypical. You may have noticed a slight vibration or a slightly different sound while at speed. That sound or vibration would have been cavitation which would have been...

2007 SX230 Operating With One Engine

If your engine ran fine you didn't ingest enough water to hydrolock your engine. You do want to check your oil for water. A high oil level or milky oil indicates some water intrusion. If either change your oil, possibly multiple times until the oil is clear.

Why are my spark plugs disintegrated?

It may be as simple as the helicoil allowed the plug to sit too low in the cylinder causing it to burn up.

This reeks of rasicm too me, am I over reacting/over thinking this?

Sorry to hear about this @Ronnie. I've followed your father/son stories and projects for many years to the point he seems like just one of our neighborhood kids. I've been disturbed over the last several years due to the increased racial tensions especially at the hands of some police...

Starboard engine stumbles when at idle.

And when you replace your plugs keep an old set of 4 plugs that you removed in the boat if they were running good. They are easy to swap on the water if you need to.

Why are my spark plugs disintegrated?

I was looking at the same thing @Cambo mentioned about your fouled plug. Looks like a threaded sleeve. That larger threaded area on the plug will absorb more heat due to its greater mass. That could cause your plug to overheat. Another possibility, as somebody mentioned, is injectors. If an...
