    Wake/kneeboard combo forks

Thanks for the photos of the bungee set-up. That's a very nice solution! I'd love to have one of those swinging hinges for the board racks, but not enough to pay $400!

    Wake/kneeboard combo forks

I'd appreciate a photo of your bungee solution -- thanks! Another question: I've not seen the Yamaha swinging rack before, but you say that you are using it here? I can't tell from your photos how it actually "swings."

    Wake/kneeboard combo forks

My 2014X has the same tower (I think), but I don't have the swinging mount (i.e. my racks are fixed). I'm not where my boat is so can't look at the bolt holes for the racks, but am wondering if your swinging rack has the same bolt pattern as my fixed rack. @Scottie

    2017 212X...... Surfing? Nope.

Earlier in this thread she said her salesman was named Spencer. I would also be interested in a group buy for my 2014 X. Should be identical to Bobbie's.

    2017 212X...... Surfing? Nope.

@bobbie -- Thanks for the great info and photo of your rear-deck bag placement -- this is all really helpful. Just to clarify, do you fill both 1100 lb bags under the rear seat or just the one on the surf side?

    2017 212X...... Surfing? Nope.

@bobbie -- I've got the same boat as you, so am very interested in how you are doing this. I am a newbie to surfing -- I just bought a Hyperlite Landlock which I hear is a great board for surfing behind our boats -- but haven't had a chance to get on the water since it came in the mail. I...

    SURFING without rope...Finally (16 212x)

I'd love to hear how your experiment goes this weekend. Please report back so we can all learn! I assume you just tie up the bags with rope as well? How important do you think the Wake Wedge is? It's been a while since I looked (maybe a year), and last I checked it wouldn't work on the...

    SURFING without rope...Finally (16 212x)

Of course I ran across your video immediately after I posted my question! Thanks -- looks like your solution works great. Now I just need to buy some bags and a portable pump.

    SURFING without rope...Finally (16 212x)

@Pisgah Pilot (2016 212X) -- Do you have any photos of the additional bags (not the stock bags) that shows how they are attached? I've been dying to try wakesurfing and your post has finally spurred me into action. I've bought a Landlock and now need to figure out the ballast issue.

    Perfect pass help

Mine did the same early last year, but after flickering for a few minutes it went into what I refer to as "reverse video mode", where all of the writing appeared as if you were looking at it from the back side! I called Perfect Pass, and they thought there was a problem with the display unit...

FANGS for Cobra Venoms - first impressions

I ordered a set of Fangs for my Ultimates last Sunday and received them on Thursday. Great customer service as usual! Installed them on Saturday and then put the boat in the water for a chilly test run in the 50F and cloudy Michigan weather. I agree with what others have posted here -- high...

Which cover is the easiest to put on in-water?

I think the mooring cover will have the same problem as the shipping cover -- the back corners need to be ratcheted tight. You can sometimes get one on from inside but not the second corner.

    Help with attachments to fiberglass

Thanks all for the advice. Will post pics when the work is complete.

    Help with attachments to fiberglass

So you then used the plywood as a "base" to attach other things to?

    Help with attachments to fiberglass

Next week my 212X comes out of storage, and I hope to start working on the storage cabinet organizing mods that I had planned for last summer but never got around to completing. Like several others on this forum, I intend to hang a shoe tree for rope and other miscellaneous small item storage...

212X is finally home and on the lift

@Belleville_Boater -- have you disappeared off the face of the earth...or at least out of Michigan? As we've had some warmer than typical weather over the last few weeks in Michigan, it has got me thinking about boating again, and also reminded me of the solution you engineered last year for...

    Inside the boat storage ideas

I also have a 21 footer and plan to do some storage cabinet modifications when I get the boat out this spring. I don't have much experience working with fiberglass, so I would appreciate any advice on the best way to secure stuff to the fiberglass walls on the inside of the storage cabinet. I...

    Owners Manuals - Yamaha AR210, SX210, 212X & 212SS

When I bought my 2014 212X I couldn't find the manual on-line either. I e-mailed Yamaha, and they sent me a printable PDF (which is attached in my post above). In looking at both the 2015 and 2016 boats, I don't think there are anything other than minor cosmetic differences between those model...

Top End speed loss with fins

I beat that, and I'm at 1200' elevation. Not sure how much difference 1000 ft makes.
