Mooring cover while boat is in water?

I tow with the factory shipping cover. Did the previous owner not have it? I have a two piece morning cover, one for the bow, the other for the wind shield to stern. They were dealer installed and cost $1,000 so I’d rather use the factory cover until it falls apart. I towed from VA Beach to New...

Questions about keeping the boat in the water.

It’s the Bimini top I’m referring to. I do have the anti pooling poles under the mooring cover. There is shore power at the slip, however the plug is not compatible. Thanks Gym

Questions about keeping the boat in the water.

Boaters, We bought a 242 Limited E at towards the end of last season. We trailered it around but this year have a slip. It’s at Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. I have a couple questions for you seasoned guys: We put the Bimini top on yesterday and decided to leave it on but reduced the tension a bit...

One picture of your last outing.

Lake Winnipesaukee, NH yesterday. End of a great day with friends. Too cold to swim/wake board, but nice day to ride to Meredith and Paugus Bay.

It’s just not appealing to me. I was expecting something incredible and the fuel consumption...I’m out.

Mooring cover while boat is in water?

Some advice please. We’re putting the boat in a slip this season. I’m buying a new mooring cover. Does anyone have a technique for putting on the cover while the boat is in the water? It might be difficult to reach the ratchets. Also, does anyone recommend a cover? Thanks boaters Ed

DIY Pipe Booster for improving wake

Ingenious! Thanks for the post. I was actually going start a new thread seeking reviews of the WakeBooster. Might have to try the DYI option before dropping $$$ on the WB! Thanks!

    Rear Facing Seats

I’m posting this question to the forum to settle a little debate. We have a 242 Limited E. During wake boarding my son (24 yrs) likes to sit in the rear facing seats to watch his brothers/friends. That makes me a little uneasy. Obviously, under power cruising everyone is seated in the main part...

What color is best for Seadek kit on a 2014 Yamaha 242 limited

My 242 Limited E came with grey and looks great. However, I wish I had a shade darker, maybe terra? I kept this section from winter storage to clean.

    2018 242 E series collapsible bimini tower

Those are some good looking boats! I love it in black. Mine is a 2017 I bought new last August. Question: Does anyone have the height of the tower up while the boat is in the water? I'm looking at a covered dock for the season and need to know. Thanks, Ed

Does anyone have the height of the boat with the tower up and down while the boat is in the water? I'm looking at a covered dock for the season and need to know if it will fit. Thanks, Ed

Used, new and 242 or 212X

Jayme, I was in exactly your spot when I bought mine, although my kids are older. I’m not sure what year Yamaha started putting the articulating keel (maybe 2013?) on the boats but it does make a difference at all speeds. I’ve driven older and newer one and I can tell the difference. I bought...

Premium vs Regular - 93 or 87 Octane - For Your Tow Vehicle (Toyota Trucks?)

Ok, so I didn’t read this topic fully as much of it is way over my head. I have a 2013 Tundra 5.7, bought it in 2015 with 14k on it. It now has 60k, runs great and I love it. I’m using 87 in it at all times. I get approx 14 mpg and about 9.5 mpg when I pull the boat (242). If bumping up to 93...

    New jet boat guy

I picked up this beast two weeks ago. It’s a new (never sold) 2017 from a marina in VA Beach. We had it out twice so far and absolutely love it. Thanks to all you members for posting very useful info on this site.
