    Anyone else fleeing their state?

Not too bad, takes about an hour to get to Ft Morgan. Depends on traffic too. Lillian is our usual go-to, we don’t hang out in OB or GS too much. Water is much prettier over to Perdido and Pcola.

I ended up with a Proline 23 Sport CC. 300 Mercury Verado. We change ramps based on activity, when fishing I put in at Fort Morgan usually. If it’s a sandbar day we put in at Lillian, or we’ll take the trip over to Navarre, FL if we want to hit Destin.

    Anyone else fleeing their state?

We’ve been out a couple times in the last 2 weeks. Went to the Blue Angels show July 9, that was our last outing. Yesterday and Saturday didn’t look good, this weather has been ridiculous. Normally it’s 20-30 minute quick afternoon storms then sunny again. Not this year, it’s been gloomy all day...

    Anyone else fleeing their state?

Just an update on this, loving it so far. We are about 2 months in our new home and pretty well settled in. Still waiting for some furniture we ordered in NOV, but that's a Covid thing they tell us. Should be here soon. On the plus side it's 70 degrees and sunny right now, loving life! Shopping...

    Tow Vehicle Bug Cleaner

Windex. Let it sit for a few, then wash. Theres another product called “Wesley’s Bleach-white” that works about as well. You just need something with ammonia, which I think those both have.

Congrats on the move down here. Welcome! We ended up in Spanish Fort (Hurricane Sally, see previous long story) but the whole Baldwin county area is great with great growth. I will preemptively say in agreement with prior posts I hope you plan to move here and enjoy it, not move here and change...

    Anyone else fleeing their state?

I lived out east for a year near Philly, not my cup of tea but it was a beautiful area. We are all set and close on the new, new house Nov 20th. Very much looking forward to being less than an hour from white sand and emerald water, not to mention no snow!

    Kia Sorento engine failure

Junkyard engine, then sell it. Option B would be to keep it and fix properly, you’ll have to figure out where the most value lies.

    Anyone else fleeing their state?

Spanish Fort is about 10 miles north of where we were looking in Daphne, but closer to Mobile Bay. We are about 45 minutes to the gulf (Orange Beach/Gulf Shores) and 30 minutes to a ramp that gets us to the gulf off the bay. Not as close as we’d like, but this keeps us out of the thick of the...

    Anyone else fleeing their state?

Update on the situation. We walked away from the previous deal, seller refused to honor the contract and return the property to the condition it was in when we signed the contract. We moved on, and will be in Spanish Fort. Closing Nov 23rd.

2018 210 FSH “Dixie Highway” build...join me on the voyage

We decided mid August to move to the gulf coast, so with the market as crazy as it was and the upcoming move it was the right time. My plan is to get something bigger when we get situated there. More than likely I'll go with an outboard, as I will be in salt water 100% of the time. For my...

show off your guns here(fire arms)

It’s funny, Glocks being so polarizing. Seems like most people love them or hate them. Personally I’m ambivalent, yes they are as reliable as it gets, pretty good shooters, etc. But do they have to be so damn ugly? Funky ergonomics (to me) means I’ll never buy one, but I get why lots do. Seems...

show off your guns here(fire arms)

Was going to say it looks like a Glock but with a more standard grip angle.

What to hold my cargo mat in place?

Word of warning on the Husky mats, I ordered a set for my new F-150 after having the Weathertech, yes they have the nubs on the back BUT the material/feeling was much "cheaper" feeling than the WT. I pulled them out of the box, and put them back immediately and returned them. Very plasticy...

2020 FSH 210 and Tongue Weight Question

Step #1-weigh the trailer (as you’d launch it) and set tongue weight to 5-7% as per Shoreland’r. For me, this involved moving the trailer axles up about 5” or so. This is not for a novice, I recommend if you go this route to measure, measure, measure. Usually measure diagonally and front to back...

    Boating season abruptly ended 😡

My 2019 season ended that way, just substitute knee surgery for back surgery that happened August 12 that year. It sucks, I had 1 solo ride after that and tucked her in the warehouse (the boat not the missus 😁). Next season she’ll be ready to go!

    Supercharging the TR1’s?

https://www.kommanderind.com/Kommander/Turbo-Kits $8500/engine. Lets see, $50k for a new 210 FSH plus $17k plus for the kits, I think I’d be in the market for a new and bigger boat.

The great sell off of 2020

You may be disappointed to hear I'm not looking at Yamaha for the next one. I'll be in salt water 100% of the time, and will likely get something more offshore oriented. The price point is good with the Yamaha, but unfortunately it's very close to some pretty serious competition with outboard...
