    Adding amp to cabin speakers

The factory speakers are wired in series (see diagram) which equals 8 ohm per 4 of 5 channels. The factory Subwoofer was 4 ohm, which I replaced the subwoofer to 2 ohm to get 400 watts RMS. I ran new speaker wire to each speaker for the purpose of upgrading to a higher gauge wire, minus the...

Yamaha 212x adding a second amp

Had the same issue. Add one or two 12v computer fans (see link below). I zipped tied one fan higher into the area where you can’t see it to circulate the air. It is quiet and allows the amp to dissipate the heat, while drying any wet items after surfing. The Yamaha provide amp is tuned to 8 ohms...

    Adding amp to cabin speakers

I didn’t do a good job capturing everything, but another amp was added to allow future mods and flexibility. Used rca y cable to split the signal. Ran new speaker cables and installed a fan near the amps to help keep them cool. Yamaha tuned the original Polk Audio amp to 8 ohms per connection...

    Diy Ballast Upgrades

I’ve learned a lot from being on this forum and found adding the custom 750lbs ballast on the rear platform is the easiest. When you are done surfing just store the fatsac in the center locker. This keeps your boat light from not having to store lead. The additional 150lbs fatsac is used when...

Finally broke her in, now upgrades and build

Your post caught my attention. I have a 212X that holds 4-5 gallons of water for some reason. The dealer said it is normal. When the forklift lifts the boat out of the water for storage, he tilts the boat slightly and a large amount of water comes out the drain ports. The bilge is working fine...

Group Buy 2020 JetBoaters.Net SeaDek Group Buy Sponsored By JetBoatPilot

I missed the boat and ordered too early. JetBoatPilot was able to customize the mats needed to add the details I was looking for. Thank you JetBoatPilot.

Wake Booster VS Thrust Vector Wake

Here is why the WakeBooster is awesome. When someone can get air and do a 360, then that is a true surf wake. When a certified wake surfer gets on your boat with only skepticism and at the end of the session says, “that is a certified wake,” then the WakeBooster paired with additional ballast is...

Show Us Your Wake! (surfing mods comparo)

Great wake! Beautiful background. Can’t wait to get out on the lake. I need to post a video from last season with the WakeBooster on the surf side and the wedge on the other. Nice wake with steady control on the throttle.

Show Us Your Wake! (surfing mods comparo)

Here are some pictures of the last two weeks on the lake. Some of the pictures show where we tried the custom 750lbs transom ballast (big fatty) in the center, and put the 150lbs blue ballast on the surf side. Moving the 150lbs ballast (baby blue fatty) was easier than to move to the other side...

Show Us Your Wake! (surfing mods comparo)

    1. Wake shaper device 2. Transom or human ballast (free) 3. Ridesteady The 212X already has stock ballast, then add a few friends, like Swatski’s post. Honestly, my recommendation is to get the shaper and bag at the same time. GPS is nice to have, but not a must.

    Testing the new wake booster

Another day on the lake. The water has been choppy, but we’ve been adjusting to the conditions. Pretty much the same setup as the previous days (100% on everything). We started adjusting the stock ballast in the rear depending on where people are sitting. The results are about the same.

    Testing the new wake booster

Lately, we have not experienced the throttle drop. I do like the idea of putting the custom transom ballast in the center and making the changes to the stock starboard and port ballast. Correction on the last post is moving two people from the rear of the boat to the front. It’s a lot of trial...

    Testing the new wake booster

Here is a video from this weekend using our camera capturing the speed of the boat. We had five people and stock ballast full (1100 lbs) on the 212X. The 750 lbs FatSac was full and on the same side of the WakeBooster. The wake looked awesome! The throttles were maxed and the bow was raised...

    Testing the new wake booster

We had the stock rear and center ballast full (1,100lbs), custom 750lbs ballast on surf side, and a 150lbs bag in the boat with only one person driving. The boat leans to the surf side and the bow is raised causing the stern to dig in, causing a beautiful wake. Our speed is roughly 10-11mph. We...

    Testing the new wake booster

Moving my foot forward made a big difference. I was able to surf ropeless all morning. Thanks for the advise!

    Testing the new wake booster

Thanks for the advise. I will try your recommendations this weekend.

    Testing the new wake booster

Yamaha 212X with full ballast (1100lbs), one person driving, 750 and 150lbs FATSAC. The speed was around 10-11mph. I can feel the thrust, but think a board with more buoyancy will help. My daughter is able to surf ropeless every time.

Wake Booster VS Thrust Vector Wake

Great question! After looking at a few other videos we have, my guess is mid-thigh.

Wake Booster VS Thrust Vector Wake

Adding the 750lbs ballast made the wave taller and provided more thrust. Check out the video.

Wake Booster VS Thrust Vector Wake

I would like to say Wakewedge and WakeBooster are very similar In the wake produced when using the extra ballast on the deck. Both are great products with the same goal in mind - a great wake. Have not tested JetBoatPilot’s thrust kit, but glad they are putting another option out there. During...
