    Engine RPM issues after "winter"

Thanks! Burning through 80% of a tank in one day will be tough, as the "large" lake we are on here in AZ is only about 7500 acres. Lots of laps. But I might be up to the challenge. :)

    Engine RPM issues after "winter"

Just a quick update here. I was able to get back up to the boat on Saturday, added Sta-Bil 360 to the half-full tank, let it run a few minutes in the slip, then took her out for a drive. Flawless performance. So either that was the issue, and the Sta-Bil did the trick, or some marine miracle...

    Engine RPM issues after "winter"

Thanks, all. That was my suspicion, but I fell victim to the "I've always done it this way and it's never been an issue" thing and just never bothered. That, and the very low humidity in Arizona, made me think it wouldn't happen to me. :) I'll top off the tank, add stabilizer, and hopefully...

    Engine RPM issues after "winter"

No - I have never treated the gas in the past. I've also never used fuel with ethanol as far as I know, if that matters.

    Engine RPM issues after "winter"

We have our 2009 SX230HO in a wet slip here in Arizona year round. We tend not to use the boat between October and April or so, and this year was no different. Took her out yesterday for the first time since October, and while everything started and ran fine initially, after I got out of the...

Yamaha Boat Loans Sold From Synchrony to Yamaha Motor Finance

I just want to thank everyone for posting their experiences. I had the same issues everyone here has noted (wrong account number, showing one payment past due) and was able to log in, set up payments, and avoid panic. Such a great resource to have. Thanks everyone!

Yamaha Boat Loans Sold From Synchrony to Yamaha Motor Finance

We got the letter today too...can't wait to sit on the phone for hours trying to fix it. Ugh. Nice job, Yamaha.

Canyon lake AZ - out and back video

Just seeing this video now, @bgood188. Thanks for posting it - I've been considering where to finally put my boat and thanks to that video, I may seriously consider Canyon Lake.

A sad admission, or "how time flies" : UPDATED

UPDATE... The batteries are, I am assuming, completely dead. They have been on a trickle charger (the ProSport20) for the entire time, and there is absolutely no glimmer of electricity at all. They are both old; the starting battery is original (8 years) and the AGM battery I bought to run...

@Ronnie thanks - I was pleasantly surprised to see my trailering skills had only suffered a little. :)

Thanks @2nazt ... sadly there was no need to check the batteries - pretty sure they are very dead.

A sad admission, or "how time flies" : UPDATED

@jetboater4life it's funny you should say that. I paid someone to tow it down here from MN and en route, two of the four tires blew from dry rot. I replaced the other two (and had someone grease the hubs and check the trailer brake) once it was here in storage, so I think they are good (they...

A sad admission, or "how time flies" : UPDATED

Thanks @Eric Ballard - more good ideas. Would not thought about the rubber, steering cable, etc. but I did wonder how the batteries have held up. I've had them on a trickle charger all this time but I know they have a shelf life too. The bow roller, and the rear tie-downs were in remarkably...

A sad admission, or "how time flies" : UPDATED

Thanks @jetboater4life ! I understand about the MN weather. The saddest day of the year was the day I had to pull the boat out of the lake in early October, and the best day was when the docks were ready in May. In between was...sad. I have no idea about whether they put stabil in or not...

A sad admission, or "how time flies" : UPDATED

I used to frequent this forum (and it's predecessor that shall not be named) often. But then something happened. Almost four years ago, I moved from Minnesota (a boating haven) to Arizona (a year round boating paradise.) But for some reason, I stopped boating. We kept our beloved Yamaha, of...

    Big Green Eggheads

I have the earlier model of that Anova circulator and it makes an amazing difference in certain foods, beyond just steaks. I found that pork chops and chicken breasts (when done properly) are leaps and bounds better than any other cooking method. Enjoy!
