Stonewall from BRP on catalytic recall

Yes, it just comes right out. I was hesitant to remove assuming that the tune depends on the added back-pressure and I have no means to remap the chip. BRP is doing nothing for me, they even closed my service ticket without any resolution.

Stonewall from BRP on catalytic recall

Cleaned up best I could, assembled and installed. All seems well; ran with no leaks, fingers crossed. It was a royal pain getting all the salt out of the mating surfaces and grooves. In addition to the o-ring I added a copper permatex gasket to the inner ring and in the o-ring channel. FYI...

Stonewall from BRP on catalytic recall

This post is for all the folks that have or WILL have the same issues I am having with BRPs failure to stand behind their product. If your O2 sensor fails due to this issue it means that water has entered your exhaust manifold and most likely backed into your heads. This is BAD. It has taken...

Stonewall from BRP on catalytic recall

I tried to look up this motor, it looks like the exhaust configuration is different so there would be no way to bypass. The cat housing contains an o2 sensor at near the exhaust manifold and another o2 sensor near the muffler. both mounted in the water jacketed cat housings.

Catalyst housing for my Rotax 1503 size 250

I would recommend being proactive and not to wait until it fails. I hear from other threads on this forum that this is mostly for te grey cats and not the black ones. I just took mine out and its a mess. Since the O-ring seals failed, water got between the S.S bolt and aluminum threads. I have...

Catalyst housing for my Rotax 1503 size 250

This is criminal. Glastron ignored me, BRP closed my case without giving any answers, and NO dealer withing 100 miles will touch my boat. Its pathetic. Thank you for posting your resolution. Looks like I will be forced to start wrenching again. Sounds like the start of a class action to me.

Stonewall from BRP on catalytic recall

No BRP certified shops are able or willing to service my 2014 Glastron GTS 207 with the BRP Rotax 250. My catalytic, like may others, failed and I found out the hard way about the recall. All the local BRP shops have indicated they cannot service a Glastron. My "Dealer", where I bought the boat...

Catalyst housing for my Rotax 1503 size 250

Does anybody know if you can simply bypass the catalytic with an exhaust component from a non catalytic model?

Catalyst housing for my Rotax 1503 size 250

Does anybody know if you can just obtain the part under the recall? I am having the same trouble with finding mechanics. No one will work on my boat to honor the recall on this catalytic. I am forced to purchase the new O-rings resurface the mating surfaces if its even possible and cross my...

    GTS207 no crank

This can be any number of things.... The simplest being that it is not in neutral or the neutral switch is faulty. One problem that has plagued me in this boat is... that if I forget to completely disconnect the battery it will drain. Starting this motor on a weak battery will (at least on my...

check engine no code no crank no nuttin

@JetTech72 Thank you for your patient help this weekend. After our back and forth, you were right and it turned out to be an accessory relay in the rear fuse block. Of course my stupidity caused the trouble in the first place. I left the battery shutoff 'on' over the winter and drained my...

check engine no code no crank no nuttin

I forgot to mention that the 'CHECK ENGINE' is flashing 4 times when turning the key to the 'on' position.

check engine no code no crank no nuttin

Thank you. The battery is brand new and still strong. That may be what started this whole ordeal in post number 1.

I was unable to follow your instructions, so I took pictures of my gauge. GT207 Gauge by jgiovino posted Jul 9, 2016 at 9:17 AM As soon as I hit any button while the 'CHECK ENGINE' was flashing it simply cycled to the temperature readout I held both buttons down for 5 seconds to get into the...
