    I Jumped Ship!

Wow, I did the same thing and went with a 2016 Bennington 2575 RSB with a 300hp Yamaha in January. These new tritoons handle rough water with ease and are really fast with a smooth ride. Loved my Jet Boat, but at 67 it was time for a more relaxing ride for me and my guest. Handles the Gulf...

Towing a 242 with or without a cover

I tow 3 to 4 thousand miles a year with the cover on. Used the shipping cover until it starting coming apart. The Delux cover has been round trip to Florida from Michigan twice, Table Rock and Lake Lanier once each. I'm leaving Florida tomorrow back to Michigan and the cover still looks good...

I haven't been out for awhile myself. I didn't realize how bad the water has gotten. From what I understand they have started cutting back on the water releases as of last Friday. Maybe I'll see you guy's out on the water. I also have my boat on a lift and the trailer in storage.

    Cape Coral/Ft Myers info.

Don't be afraid of the river, it's marked pretty good. When I first came down to Cape Coral, I cruised the river and Pine Island Sound with no navigational aids and never had a problem.

    Cape Coral/Ft Myers info.

Murf is correct about following the channel markers due to the shallow waters and crab pots. Crab pots are everywhere except within the channel markers around here. The Caloosahatchee River is well marked and easy to follow. You need to be aware of the slow speed Manatee Zones and follow the...

    What tires to get ugh!

I just replaced the original tires before coming to Florida in October with Goodyear Marathon's. I have been pulling boats back and forth between Florida and Michigan for several years and have had good luck with Goodyear tires. The original tires that came with the boat made the round trip...
