    I Wish...

I have a regal 29 OBX with twin Yamahas. They make a 26 OBX with a single engine. I love the boat. The OBX has a nice swim platform too that wraps around the engine so it’s not dead space with the outboard.

Boat ride from new York to Nantucket

I no longer have a Yamaha moved on to a bigger boat and I don’t think I’d do that trip in anything less than perfect conditions in my 29 footer. I’ve been in the Long Island sound and it gets real snotty. You can make it sure but I don’t think it would be enjoyable in a 21 footer Yamaha. These...

Officially a non-jet boat boat owner

Nice boat. I own a regal also, a 29 OBX needed to go bigger than the Yamaha offered and something better for longer rides. You won’t be disappointed in the choice you made. So far in my 2 years the regal ride and quality is top notch very happy now.

Can jetboat handle rough water in ocean?

I find the inlets to be harder to navigate than the open ocean. In the ocean you can take the waves at an angle to avoid stuffing bow. In inlets at least in Jersey they are narrow and you basically running head on. I think your boat should do pretty well in 2-4 seas. For me personally I don’t...

How Yamaha drove me to a Scarab...

I’m a former Yamaha owner still think it’s a great boat for what it is. Lower budget entry level boat and can’t believe for the life of me someone sold a Cobalt to get a Yamaha. Get an outboard then if needed depth.

    Open water/Ocean on an AR210?

I took a beating on my 2012 242 LS in the ocean in like 2 footers. I had more issues with the inlets than the actual ocean. Could be some driver error and also the Yamaha bow slanted down. I would still say on a 21 footer it’s pick your days wisely.

    Lost 10mph from Top Speed

I read previous post about your bilge and notice you keep in water. If you do not have bottom paint you will build up a lot of crap if in salt or brackish water. That for sure will slow you down add some water weight in the bilge and that might be your problem.

What do you guys think of the new Yamaha Jet Ski?

Trying to be like the old wave blaster. I used to have a wave blaster it was the most fun thing I had on the water…I think this is cool. I rode a friends seadoo trixx and it was fun just not for me anymore that I’m 40 and fat now. It will probably do well for them.
