Where is the rumored new model from Yamaha?

I toured the MC boat company and took a drive through Yamaha and SeaRay while there. What I thought was most interesting on my drive through was how organized Yamaha was compared to SeaRay. The other thing that struck me, is how many non manufacture boats were at both of those companies lots...

    JetBoatPilot Lateral Thruster Debut!!

Agreed... for a 100k plus boat its a disappointing bandaid as opposed to an engineered integrated solution. And Sorry - back to topic... I can't wait to see what Will and JBP has done. Even though I don't have a Yami anymore, they always come up with cool solutions that make the boat that...

    Joining the Carbon seal fun!

Check out Johnsons Silicon Spray. You used to be able to get it at Oriellys, Now I just buy it from Amazon. It doesn't leave a wet residue like WD-40 or most silicon sprays and and is safe on all materials. I've used this on all my skii's, yamaha jet boat and now my MC and as well my golf cart...

Please tell me this is not real

Someone posted this earlier.... I still think this guy is a moron. Its a silly and messy way to change your oil when there are far easier and cleaner ways to do it.

New Oil Change Method on the Yamaha ?

on 2nd thought .... this guy is a fool..he's making a mess of something that is much simpler and cleaner. Get a good oil extractor and it's clean, simple and easy.

New Oil Change Method on the Yamaha ?

I almost always got 3-3.5 qrts of oil out of each engine. Just need to warm it up, and make sure your hose down in there. and I moved it around as well to make sure i got as much as I could I didn't use his method. I'm not a fan of bumping the engine...

Push Button Start Mod - It works! With video and full instructions

Ha I had the same question.... This is what Mainah told me... It worked perfect for me! "NO1 = normally open 1 NC1 = normally closed 1 C1 = common 1 Is this case you want the circuit to be open when not pressed so use NO1 and C1." And a Minor Add as I didn't realize this until I thought...

To Lift Or Not To Lift

I store on a lift during the winter. As a matter of fact, my boat hasn't been off the lake on the trailer in over 3 years. But we are in GA/SC so our winters are a bit milder. We've had zero issues at all with doing this. I like having access to the boat when I want so I'm a big fan of the...

Is blowing the water out of the water boxes a cause for broken timing chains?

Agreed.... The issue isn't while out of the water on a trailer or a lift blowing out the water at 3-5k... it's going at 6/7k coming out of the water and the immediate load on the impeller/engine etc when coming back in the water. I've been doing the blow out trick every time I put my boat on...

    Amp Wiring question

follow the steering cables.... there is a little channel that goes between the helm and fuel tank, then from the fuel tank to either the engine or the port storage there are a few gaps you can get wires through. Hope this helps... BTW might be easier to install the amps in the helm storage...

    2016 E-Series Bimini Top Removal

I was actually just thinking about this exact thing last night (while tossing trying to get to sleep.. lol).. All the pictures I've seen seem to imply that the Bimini is static. I'd love to lower it and collapse it, not that I have to, but when I store or put on a boat lift I could see it...

Going to look at a 96 Xp and a 92 Xp Seadoo today, need thoughts

I just sold two 97 XP's. neither were running when I got a hold of them, but after a few hours of work, both ran like scalded dogs. The machines are a blast with one person, very unstable with 2 people though. FWIW. To check out on the 97 XP... New Fuel Lines -These are a must as the old...

    Using a Boat Lift

No real con's to a boat lift... Looking at mine and using it for 6 years... Walk around access is very helpful to put the cover on. Use "Fuel Jugs" from VP Racing (on Amazon) that will make fueling 10x easier. I like that I can keep the boat on a charger and I've only removed my drain plug...

    For the sound system guru's

All the amps above are good amps... Really it comes down to what you want to spend and how much of an audiophile you can really be in an "open air boat". For example, Class A/B vs a Class D amp. I'd go with a Class D every-time. More efficient. Also remember you are in a boat.. not a sound...

What is the best sound deadening product

Agree on the eggcrate above... I used it on my 240 while doing some stereo work and it made a good difference. I should have ordered 2 rolls. I'll order a 2nd one when I get back to the boat and on the water again.
