    So nice to not have to use anchors at the sandbar or use the spot lock on the trolling motor. Brackets and poles came from Cycle Springs in Palm Harbor, FL.

    FSH 190 Won't start right away after running for extended period

    Mine did it when new a couple times but once broken in it seems to be gone. I would agree that cooling the engine and regular spark plug changes should help as well. I used to have a Yamaha outboard that if you shut off before letting it idle for a bit would also have a hard restart.

    Are you having trouble seeing the trailer in the water ? I originally considered them but once I started launching and recovering I realized they aren't really necessary. I find I can see the trailer right up until it settles on the bunks. Even at night I can see the trailer lights underwater so...

    Steering Free Play

    There absolutely is a lot of free play in the stock steering system. Mine "bumps" back in forth at slow speeds. I can hold the steering wheel and have a friend move the jet probably 15 degrees. With that said the stock steering system is not adjustable. I tried. :(

    Are you leaving the bilge switch on when in the water ? It's not automatic like other boats.

    Depends on conditions. Calm flat water will hold just fine. Any wind or current it use both.

    I use a pair of stick it pins in calm shallow water and will use the trolling motor to hold in wind and current. The talon is cool but pretty much ruins the back of the boat.
