Paying tax on a used boat

Who are you buying it from ? In Kentucky we don't pay sales tax on private party transactions (person to person). If you are purchasing from a dealer most likely the full state sales tax applies but not sure which state you reside ?

    First Time Boater

Congrats on the new boat. Happy for you that you live in a part of the country (?) where break-in and boating in general are still an option in early December.

    Partzilla vs Yamaha Sports Plaza

I've never used either YSP or Partzilla so can't provide feedback on them. I have on several occasions used Babbitt's for Yamaha OE parts. They operate the same way as the previously mentioned pair. They take your order (either on-line or over the phone) then forward to a wholesaler or central...

    Fogging Oil Air Intake

My dealer stores dozens of their customers Yamahas over the winter. Most are kept outside covered on the lot. I asked them about fogging the first offseason with my 2016 AR240 (1.8L engines )and they told me NEVER to fog a fuel injected engine. They don't ! Maybe if it were NOT going to be used...

New Boat - End of Season - Break in?

I had the same situation at the end of the 2019 boating season. I had just purchased the boat on Oct.10th and it only had 6 hours on the engines before storing it on the nest (lift) mid November for the winter. No need to change oil until the 10 hour service next spring in my opinion. Congrats...

    Stick wedged in impeller/housing

@Smitty244 , the pump design has changed slightly since this video was made ( by my dealer) on a 2013 boat but the basics are the same. Remove the 4 bolts , pull the pump , clear the obstruction , reassemble ! As others have stated , every jet boat owner has either done it , or should . Where...

    Lake Norris vs Lake Cumberland

thanks @bthessel for expressing my feelings in a much more civil fashion !! I have no issues with swimming or taking my grandkids in the water with me on the beaver creek , wolf creek , pumpkin creek , etc. end of Cumberland anytime. The more people that find it "dirty / nasty" and stay away the...

    Lake Norris vs Lake Cumberland

I don't know anything about Norris, but curious what time of year you are looking at for your trip next year ? I am on Cumberland a LOT. Normally (up until this season) it seems that the winter bank wash off ( logs , branches , other debris) is pretty bad until late May or early June. Big deal...

2019 242 LSE engines hours out of sync BAD!

@shankska Here is the 2019 242 LSE with V39 and engine hours in sync. On mine they just took a black sharpie and wrote "v39" on the yellow sun icon.

2019 242 LSE engines hours out of sync BAD!

I will next time on the boat. Boat is 100 miles away from my home and the weather is lousy !! Forecast for tomorrow and Monday not much better. May be the following weekend ?

2019 242 LSE engines hours out of sync BAD!

They put a yellow sticker on the back side (helm storage area) of mine when they updated. Sticker just has "39" hand written ? Might want to update your profile ? 2011 AR21 didn't have Connext.
