    We ended up getting a campsite for the weekend at Crosswinds, not so much for camping but more for the ramp. Brother in law us camping beside us and we’ll cook out and have a campfire...but I’m getting old and need my beauty rest, at home in the air conditioning:)

    Made it out to Jordan today, used Robeson Creek for the first time. Turns out it’s pretty close to where I store my boat on 64. Hanging out at Party Cove with 5 other boats. It’s a good day.

    Yes, all the above. Last Friday it was overflowing crowded and idiocy ruled the ramp. The previous Wednesday wasn’t terrible though. I’m thinking about trying again Sunday morning.

    My favorite ramp is Ebenezer Church. It’s protected from the wind more than some of the other ramps.

    I have used Auto Marine in Garner a couple of times and they have done excellent work on my boat.

    Yeah, fireworks are a No Go at Jordan. I’ve heard Kerr Lake has some good fireworks...up around Clarksville maybe.

    Scout out and get a campsite at Poplar Point. I think it is H34 we’ve used before, close to shower house and a nice sandy beach. Easy to manage a larger group, picnic table, bring a small grill and there you go.

    @Julian rough quote was $650 for the keel guard. They have to rig up some stands and take the boat off the trailer to epoxy it on. I should get it back next week. I'll be sure to post some pictures.

    I appreciate everyone's replies...I was in a rush and on my phone when I posted. I think this is a result of tying the boat up to shore when we camp at Jordan Lake, it is a shallow lake and the keel ends up in the sand & mud.
