    SX190 Gas Suggestions

I ran 87 octane in my 2014 SX190 before I sold it and had no problems at all. Note: I am a firm believer in a dose of Ring Free and Sta-bil 360 Marine at every gas up.

How often does it really, really happen?

Transiting the Colorado River to and from Lake Havasu I always encounter shallow areas of submerged grasses that can sometimes get wrapped around the drive shaft. It's easy to pull off after I trailer the boat and really does not seem to affect performance. Other than that, I've had no issues...

Covered or uncovered...that is the question!

Seems like a no-brainer to me...you have the cover why not use it all the time? It will protect your vinyl and other interior components from the elements and keep out the dirt and dust always floating around i the air. I suppose living here in the desert SW, sun and dust are more of a concern...

How to access hand rail hardware?

Thx! I'm sitting in the boat right now looking at that very wall wondering how to get it out. This is just what I need. I tried the bow storage approach but that didn't go well.

How to access hand rail hardware?

Always more than one way to skin a cat. Not looking forward to this... This rail is more than just loose; I don't even think there is a nut on one side anymore.

2014 SX190 Build Thread - Off Grid - [PIC HEAVY]

Laughlin casinos and hotels are open and the tourists are starting to find their way back. Beaches from Davis Camp to Rotary Park are packed on the weekends in spite of "capacity restrictions". Lake Havasu looked totally totally back to normal last weekend. Restaurants and bars open but SD is...

How to access hand rail hardware?

Waxing the boat today I noticed the forward port side hand rail was loose. I need to get to the nuts that secure the rail but they seem to concealed somewhere behind the forward seat cushions. Anyone got any experience accessing the rail hardware? Thx

    Air Filters for 2009 MR-1s?

This is my first year with the boat...still in a steep learning curve.

    Air Filters for 2009 MR-1s?

My boating is almost exclusively on Lake Havasu, AZ...not too much dust out there except when the wind kicks up. Yes, the oil filter issue with the MR-1s crazy. Refilling after an oil change is a PITA. Washable may be the best way to go.

    Air Filters for 2009 MR-1s?

That's what I thought as well, however, will the MR-1 ECU compensate for any airflow differences? I know the newer models will.

    Air Filters for 2009 MR-1s?

Do you think they filter the air as well as the OEM?

    Air Filters for 2009 MR-1s?

I need to replace my air filters (and that's another story for another day...) on both my engines. Anybody know any aftermarket folks selling these for less than $78? That looks about what the lowest online OEM Yamaha parts guys are asking. Just a shot in dark, but I thought I'd ask. Are...
