Buying a boat across the country

I hadn’t seen the 255XD, but my deal is done for the 252XE. I’m picking it up next week. In the long run I think it will be a better fit anyways. Thanks for the heads up though I appreciate it.

Buying a boat across the country

Yes, I’ve called the dealers in Florida. At least the ones that I know about. RideNow doesn’t have any currently. I would love a 255, but I definitely don’t like the green color. How do you know of these that have popped up?

Buying a boat across the country

Preferably 255XD, black and blue. New is more than I want to spend but a used 2021 would work perfect. This one is a new 2022 252XE in white.

Buying a boat across the country

Nope, trust me I would much rather buy locally! I was purchasing a used 2021 from a private seller and the guy backed out last minute so had to start the search again.

Buying a boat across the country

Uship quotes are around $3,750. It’s about 2550 miles. I calculate if I do it myself I might be close to $2,750 or so in costs all things considered. So sure I save about $1,000 but also carry all the risk.

Serial number on 2021 255XD - each engine?

did you ever find this? Im purchasing a 2021 255XD and my bank is asking for the engine serial numbers as well. The seller can’t find it and boat is 2.5 hours away so I can’t see it in person that easily.

    Potentially purchasing this 2021 255XD

Heard the same figure from 2 other people. I guess I’ll try and get that off the price, thanks!

yeah that’s what I had in mind. Any concerns with the state of the boat?

    Potentially purchasing this 2021 255XD

I like the idea of beaching it, maybe not so much where it can cause damage like this but just close enough to shore where the kids and wife can get off

    Potentially purchasing this 2021 255XD

I know this question is hard to answer since it varies on a million things. But ballpark figure anyone that has done some type of repair similar to what I need what do you think it would cost? just because the owner is willing to work with me on the price depending on repair costs.

    Potentially purchasing this 2021 255XD

Hey experts! Im certainly not an expert so I would like to know your opinions. I have a 2022 212XD deposit at a dealer however it is taking too long so I found a 2021 255XD for $95,000 with 38 hours on it which I like a lot, because of the bigger size and of course immediate delivery. Boat...

    Used boat private party financing

Hey all, Sorry if it’s not allowed, please delete. Im negotiating with a private seller for a used boat purchase, it’s a 2021 with less than 40 hours so like new condition, but used nonetheless. I just finished applying at 4 different banks to see the best rate / deal I get. I applied at...

    I finally gave my deposit!

The sales guy specifically mentioned that I was not ordering the boat. This was a boat the dealer already had on order and that the timeline for them to get it was 45-60 days. So my deposit was to reserve it, I was going to be 2nd on the list for that model boat but the first person didn’t want...

Those of you that bought year old but new boat

I should have never even looked at the dealer site, I still have to get a tow vehicle! What I'm really hoping for is a good deal on a 2017 212x when the 18s come out. There I will definitely pursue it more. But at least I have some ideas on the fees.

Those of you that bought year old but new boat

242 limited S, I'm not interested in that model but I wanted to see what they came at me with. He says that he misquoted the price, that it's really 55,988. He said it's: Freight: $1,550 Assembly and prep: $795 Dealer fee: $599 Then the 7% tax for florida

Those of you that bought year old but new boat

In general, taxes aside since it varies. What are the fees and amounts that are extra? They have one for $54,988 and they're telling me the out the door price is $62,784. After the taxes that's almost 4-5k in fees!

Those of you that bought year old but new boat

@Mainah Yup agreed. I just reached out to the dealer so let's see what they say about my original concern about not getting 5 year warranty and the 2.99% let's see how creative they get!
