One picture of your last outing.

It's actually 3,587' altitude right now which is pretty low. The CRC only has 7.5' of water over it and that was after it has been dredged. Full pool @ LP is 3700' altitude.

    Lake Powell houseboat advice

The Wahweap ramp is gigantic. When you say "bigger" I think you mean "longer" :-). I'm actually not sure which ramp is longer. LP is still near 3600' elevation. I think the only ramp down that way that's out of the water soon is going to be Antelope Point Marina's ramp.

One picture of your last outing.

It took 4WD low to pull my boat this year. The ramp at RP had 5" of mud on it under water :-). Had to back in until there was 10' of water in front of my truck before I could get the boat on with both power and the winch. That was NOT fun! RP is super low, I'm worried that our well is going...

    Lake Powell houseboat advice

The larger Aramark Resort is at Wahweap. There are concessions at Wahweap, Stateline, Antellope Point, Bullfrog, Dangling Rope. Dangling Rope is primarily boat access only.

One picture of your last outing.

I saw that picture, didn't read the text and I was like... damn that looks familiar. Yeah, mines a red 242 LS with no graphics. I've had so many projects this year, my boat has only left the slip 3 times. It's crazy! I am leveling an acre of mountainous land right now. So I get to watch you...

Boating "At elevation"...What's considered "high elevation"?!?!?

stock screws are not going to work at willard unless your dealer had them repitched when you bought it from them. The difference between 3500 and 4500' screws is pretty dramatic (I set mine side by side a while ago and looked - I have a set of both, one for powell and one for rockport). I...

    Boat pulls to left

This is why they made changes to the keel in the new hull design. Deeper V hulls typically hold in the water better. That's one thing I miss about my cobalt.

    Boat pulls to left

Typically, it's due to weight distribution. People put 1000 items in the head compartment and it causes the boat to list to port. This is particularly the case in older models because the hull shape is even less deep (and is more flat). If not that, then your jets are pointed wrong or your...

    Ribbon Delete?

tons of posts on this, I recommend you search for those. Only con to do it is you have to introduce a flame arresting air filter to be legal. The advantages are mostly when you boat at higher altitude.

Lake Powell, RV or hotel? What do you recommend?

Download your map ahead of time and you'll be fine. You may want to turn off your cell signal for data. Navionics gets fussy when the connection for data goes in/out/in/out.

High altitude impellers for 2016 limited S (5000-6000 ft)

Awesome! I will probably hit the lake as well, assuming it's not super windy. I have some family staying in the Cottonwood campground.

High altitude impellers for 2016 limited S (5000-6000 ft)

If you're ever interested and up at Rockport, let me know :-). My boat is just floating down there waiting for me to pay attention to it.

High altitude impellers for 2016 limited S (5000-6000 ft)

Good to know! On one of the other threads about this I jokingly wrote down some "if you live in Utah" advice on this subject :-). It's second post on page 2 of this: https://jetboaters.net/threads/boating-at-elevation-whats-considered-high-elevation.21098/page-2 Hope it was a good outing! RP...

    Second Anchor Recommendations

I run FX-11 out the bow with 12' of 5/8" chain behind it and then large box anchor off the aft (with no chain on the rode). Works great for me. Even better that I use an alderny ring and a buoy to pull my FX-11 up when I'm ready to go.

Boating "At elevation"...What's considered "high elevation"?!?!?

I gotta say, there's a ton of posts on this topic, especially on facebook right now. If you are boating in Utah, you need 4500' altitude pitched screws. If you are boating in Utah, you should really consider doing a ribbon delete and replace it with a riva spacer. If you are boating in Utah...

High altitude impellers for 2016 limited S (5000-6000 ft)

Impros. I'm up in Park City (across the street from Rockport) if you ever need advice, happy to help. You can have South Valley Motorsports repitch your screws is they are sea level. I have a set for Lake Powell (3500' altitude) but I highly recommend that you just get 4500' altitude pitched...

on lake powell 2017 ar190 top end gone

This is my YouTube video of it on a 2014 242LS. I have a set of Lake Powell screws. I normally boat at 6500’ altitude. LP is 3500’ - 3600’ altitude based on lake level.
