    The day has come

It was a 2014 SX190 with 125 hours. I always had it garage kept and super clean, upgraded stereo among many other upgrades. We agreed on $20,500.

    The day has come

We listed our Yamaha SX190 two weeks ago. The first person to come look at it made and offer and we accepted... We don’t plan on having a boat next season, this will be the first in a long time! What do people do without a boat!? We are looking at skipping a season and then purchasing a...

    2014 SX190 upgrades

I don't know. But I kept mine and could always put it back in if I take it to a dealer. It only takes about 40 minutes on the SX190. I do the annual maintenance myself so I probably already voided mine to extent.

I didn't put a sleeve in. Just take out the rubber that holds he flame arrestor in place as well. Runs the same as putting a clear plastic ring in there.

    2014 SX190 upgrades

With batteries there is no easy answer as it depends on the size and type. Is it a 24/27? A deep cycle or starting? But also, the age, and condition play a big role. If it's a brand new 27DC it should be able to play for 8-10 hours no problem. If you're like me and boat during the week and in...

    2014 SX190 upgrades

No, I have a 2nd battery for long weekends when I don't have access to recharge the battery but want to run the stereo a lot. The 400W amp makes a big difference for the price. Just buy the AMP instal kit from Boss and you're good to go!

    2014 SX190 upgrades

The wiring is easy because there is plenty of room in those back compartments. I used a drill to create the starter hole and then a dremel with a cutting bit to make the larger hole. Then sealed the speaker and each screw with sealant.

    2014 SX190 upgrades

Thanks! I really like the Sea dek so that will be the next big purchase, but it's just so hard to rationalize when the carpet is still in good shape. I've looked into a few "Monster" brand collapsible towers that look good. I'd probably go that route and install it myself so I could add an extra...

    Bad Ground? Interference?

Got the loud noise figured out. The head unitground was getting a bad connection. I ran an 8 gauge from the head unit ground to the negative terminal of the battery. Problem solved. Now, I still get some white noise when no music is on. I may try one of those filters.

    2014 SX190 upgrades

Still a list of things that I want to do (sea dek, thrust vectors, stereo remote, the list goes on). But, I figured this will show what I've done and can get suggestions on what should be next! For the trailer- Spare tire and mount New bow roller Radial tires after cupping issue with stock...

    Bad Ground? Interference?

New stereo (head unit, speakers, amp, and wiring). Everything sounds great, when the boat is off.. when I start the blower or run the engine I get loud interference through all the speakers. I've looked around and it's possibly the ground? I have it running to a negative terminal on the battery...

    Good knife to cut ropes

A steak knife lol. Or something with serrated edge. I've got a Gerber on board now. I had a Kershaw with a straight blade when I sucked up a tube rope. The wet nylon rope was extremely difficult to cut without some type of serration.

    SX190 stereo

I ran the wires through the engine compartment. It was pretty easy. There's lots of wires to zip tie the new speaker wire.

    Cleaning carpet on ar192

I spray with carpet cleaner and power wash them when they get dirty and hang them to dry. Usually twice a season. The boat is a 2014 and carpet still looks good. I'll upgrade to seadek when it doesn't look good anymore but couldn't rationalize throwing away good carpet.
