    T-top vs 75mph towing?

i posted this some time ago, but in anticipation of the same issue, and the amount of towing I do, I put a hard top on. It allowed me to mount other things, and no issue towing. I also made it a bit longer so the rain doesn’t drip on your head

    210 FSH trolling motor - 60 or 72 ?

Finally got to the boat, the plate is 6-3/4” wide, and 24” long. Basically I took the quick release plate and doubled it. The way I have it on the boat the 72 inch motor does not hang over the side, it puts the motor almost directly in front of the boat at the bow on the centerline, and when...

    210 FSH trolling motor - 60 or 72 ?

Sorry I was offline for a bit, I will measure today and post.

    FSH 21 hard top

This top is UHMW. It allowed me to mount the light bar, rod holders, and mounts for gaff, and anchor pole. No corrosion. As mentioned above, I also made it a bit longer so rain wasn’t running off on top of your head when sitting.

Possible lawsuit against Scarab/Glastron/RBH (discussion thread)

Appreciate the guidance. My issue with going from 200hp to 250hp is the extra $5000.00. Seems like a lot for very little performance improvements.

Possible lawsuit against Scarab/Glastron/RBH (discussion thread)

Can anyone confirm that most of these issues have been addressed on the 2018 255 opens? I’m getting close to trading in my Yamaha FSH 190 for the Scarab. I was also considering the FSH 210, but now I’m undecided. My Yamaha 190 is a bit under powered for what I do. I think the 255 open with 200’s...

    210 FSH trolling motor - 60 or 72 ?

It does have a xducer. I went with this version because most of my use is in fresh water.

    210 FSH trolling motor - 60 or 72 ?

I went with the 72”. I put 2 batteries in the Center compartment as far forward as they would go, and the 3rd in the storage starboard side, under the seat . I used the quick mount system with a custom plate. It allows me to remove it quickly with one pin, and the cover fits.

    Horse power

I figured it would respond a lot different then My 190. I’m looking at the 255 late next week. I’ll have to decide what way to go then.

    255 open purchase

I have, and it’s in the list of possibilities. I wish they had put the 1.8s in it though. I like the extra room in the 255.

    255 open purchase

I’m just about to decide if I should trade my FSH 190 for a scarab 255 open. Any 255 open owners that have any suggestions on what to be cautious about? Any hints on competitive price? The one I’m look at has 200hp each side and analog gauges.

    Horse power

Great info, appreciate it. I’m hoping to take out a 210 FSH sport in the next week or so. I’ll post my thoughts on the comparison.

    Horse power

I’m thinking of upgrading from my 195 to the 210. My concern is with the smaller motors in the new to 210, I’m not gaining much in overall horse power. If the 1.8L is producing around 180 hp that is just under 10 hp per foot. If the 1.1 L is producing 110 hp, then the 210 is really only...

    FSH in full fish mode

Yes, I found the sweet spot for it. I can open the anchor locker, the hatch for the storage on the starboard side still works, and the motor deploys within a couple inches of centerline.

    FSH in full fish mode

Yes, it’s only a couple inches off Center line. I used a 3/8” plate. I did this so it would limit the flex.

    FSH in full fish mode

I was concerned about the same thing. I need my cover to fit. I think I posted this awhile ago, but here it is again. I used the quick mount, and installed it on the gunnel with a backing plate. I then had a SS plate made with the quick mount bolt pattern. When I remove my motor, the only thing...

Anyone have a new 2018 190FSH with the factory trolling motor mount?

This is how I did mine. I mounted the quick release puck directly to the gunnel. I put a large backing plate underneath. I then had a stainless plate made up to extend the motor out over the bow. It works great, and when I take the motor off, I can put the cover on without any issue. I also put...

Anyone Mounted a Minn Kota Talon on a FSH yet?

It will be a couple weeks before I can post one. I'm on a project and won't be back to the boat for awhile.
