    Impeller carnage

Just throwing another update out there. Got a set of Skats from Impros pitched for Powell (3600) installed and they are pretty good. I have noticed a little slip under hard acceleration if all my ballast tanks are full (stock plus a 400 and 700 on the surf side deck) that I had never noticed...

    Impeller carnage

Just wanted to throw an update out there. I got a new set from of Skat Trak's from Impros with the Powell bend 3600'. David has been great, I'm going to send both Solas's back to him, for an attempt at a warranty claim, he said he has seen this before but it is rare. Just unlucky for me. Cant...

    Impeller carnage

Ronnie thanks for the offer I really appreciate it, but I still have my stock units as backups. I spoke with Impros and he basically said he will take a look but as soon as its custom bent they wont warranty anything. He recommended a SCAT as a more reliable unit. Here are a couple pics from...

    Impeller carnage

Good to know! I like things to fit close I just wondered if there was such a thing as too close. Def haven't had any cavitating issues. Everything has been great until it exploded.

    Impeller carnage

The stbd side is the one that grenaded. Im not sure which one they would or wouldn't repitch. Guys at the shop also said that the clearance between the impeller and the liner is really close do these Solas blades fit a little tighter for any reason?

    Impeller carnage

Not the greatest weekend on the lake. Had the 242X out at Lake Powell for the first trip of the season. Riding along just under WOT approx. 7500 RPM and get a crazy bad vibration. Shut it down, figured I picked up a stick or debris or something so I pull the plugs...Nothing. Limped it over to...

    No tank hot water shower

I used them last year for another fat sac/pump combo and a new surfboard they were great to work with! Remember that we have a discount with them also, Just bummed I found that out after my first order:banghead:

    No tank hot water shower

I found a nice kit on Wakemakers. Shower. I was thinking of tapping the engine lines for the cold and hot supply, running them both to the mixing valves and using the pump downstream of that to pressurize the water going to the shower head. I will have to check the working water temp of the...

    No tank hot water shower

So I was thinking of adding a hot water shower to the 242X. Because of the ballast I don't have room for a tank. Any reason I couldn't just tap into the hot water side of the cooling system for hot and cold side for cold. We don't do saltwater. I know I would have to have the engine running for...

    Rod Holders

Nice install @Rainmakr. I haven't had the balls to drill thru the glass yet to put in any flush mounts! Gotta let the new wear off first.

    Rod Holders

Made them work!!! It took a few different ideas but by plan F or maybe G I came up with this! Just had to use both rubber spacers and modify the thin one to fit inside the thick. I like the look. Will def be taking the rods out if the clouds get dark ⛈ added bonus no possible way to get the...

    Rod Holders

So just an FYI: 17 242X tower is larger in diameter. Got 4 of the Dolphin holders. They look awesome but won't fit my tower. If anyone wants them let me know. 3 of the 4 are unopened in the box.

Wake Wedge unbox and install on my 17 242X

Im gonna go with just kind of tight. The pumps wont over fill the bags. They work off of a timer but even calibrating the timer they will just go to "FULL" I suspect that the computer is monitoring the amp draw of the pumps and shut them down when it sees a load. Just hold in the sys control...

Wake Wedge unbox and install on my 17 242X

@jcyamaharider I had to re-calibrate my factory pumps so they would fill the whole way. Have you done that yet?

I got an extra 400 fat sac for the port swim deck, all the factory and hoping to have another 500 or so in mobile ballast that will make lunch, hand me beers and back up the trailer!
