Is renaming my boat going to make me sink (name suggestions)

Do the ceremony, on my last boat I renamed it, gave me 10+ more years of total enjoyment, and the ceremony was a fun little thing to do.

oil change every season or when its needed?????

I would not change it until you're done boating this season, unless you were thinking another 50+. I use Shell Rotella T6 5w40 and it has been great. it's full synthetic.

First Bimini Trip - aiming for 2021

Check out the fuel consumption piece of the preparing for Bimini thread. It goes in to great details. Click the expanded link. This will answer almost ALL your fuel questions. If the water is rough, a 195 might not make it all the way. Did the newer 190s get the 40 gallon tank? In 2019 in...

First Bimini Trip - aiming for 2021

The issue here is Fuel. The 190s will probably have to carry extra gas and add it part way across. 210s and up do not. When I went last year, we had FLAT water going over so we were cruising about 30-32 mph, faster than usual (25-27) because watre was flat. 190's can keep up at 30mph no problem.

First Bimini Trip - aiming for 2021

I lead a group in 2019, I plan for 2021 as well. As posted earlier in THIS thread, about January is when dates get solidified. The week AFTER July 4th is usually pretty good. I TENTATIVE (boldface caps) date range for 2021 would look like July 11-17 ish for me. Also, biggest thing is read...

Bimini 2020 - early interest - dates TBD

We stayed there for 2019, I liked it. PRO: Small and quaint, Bar and restaurant steps away, golf cart rentals by the hour on site or steps away, price, location. Staff was really nice, ice was close, single stop for customs etc. Stores within walking distance CON: Limited Kitchen. Just a...

Thinking about a new Ranger, thoughts

Going to pick up my F150 tomorrow. Watched a review of the folded down back seat of a Ranger for 37k and that was it. Loaded XLT F150 for 39k.

Thinking about a new Ranger, thoughts

I think next month you could get a F150 cheap, 2020s will be on the lots soon. I was not ready to pull trigger yet but if I got a loaded F150 new for 38 I think I would

Thinking about a new Ranger, thoughts

Went to look at local dealer. F150 with all the options inwant plus some, XLT $40k listed on website. Ranger, Similar options, maybe some minor differences where ranger is lesser. $37k listed on website. Unless they really haggle down a lot on the ranger, the f150 gives me so much more $...

Thinking about a new Ranger, thoughts

For me the big difference between Canyon and Ranger is 3.42 vs 3.73 They are similar Hp/Tq (excluding diesel) so I think the gear ratio is a win for ranger. My 07 ram 1500 has a 3.55 rear and tows it like crap.

Thinking about a new Ranger, thoughts

Ram is a great truck, dont get me wrong, but I lose 10mpg for 90% of my driven miles. That does not make sense for me. This is why I am looking smaller. If I have my adult kids wanting to go with me to the lake, they drive themselves anyway. Ranger has about same HP and more torque than the...

Thinking about a new Ranger, thoughts

Yes. I am looking at the supercrew Lariat. I INSIST on the upgraded B&O stereo, so I have to get the Lariat, which does also come with all the other goodies. 270HP/310 Tq with a 3.73 rear end and 10 speed tranny. I "Think" it will tow BETTER than what I have now.
