Clean out hatch rebuild - wood core replacement

Why wouldn't just a sheet of rot resistant green treated plywood work? It's half the price and can be found in 3/8 thickness?

why are the Yamaha jet engines so loud ???

Along the earmuffs line of thinking, just get a set of helicopter intercom headsets :)

Yes but in my 10 years of wakesurfing I have felt a little nautious a few times after a long 3 to 5 minute run.

    ANYONE NEED UPHOLSTERY DONE?

Looking great. I have the exact same seat cushions and plan to get a complete set from Hugo. When you get the back rest cushions reinstalled can you snap a picture so I can see if they match mine?

front fairing / silver panel rattle on a 2006 FX HO cruiser

I bought this jetski a couple of years ago from a fellow member. The fairings / silver panels on each side of the front part of the ski rattle really loud when at idle. It's not a major issue but I've decided it bugs me enough that this year I'm going to fix it. I plan to take it apart and add...

    How to remove boat mold??

That's not mold but rather mildew. Starbrite makes some nice products for mildew. It's pretty harsh on the seats so use it sparingly. http://www.starbrite.com/item/mildew-stain-remover

    Minnesota Jetboaters

Congrats on the boat! Maybe I'll see you out on Lake Zumbro sometime. My boat is on an ezdock lift just around the bend to the right from the DNR launch. I took the star stickers off so now it's just red and white.

What Electric Car(s) do you own and what do you think of it?

One additional note is that when we are driving longer distances in the winter, I find that I need to get in the car and play with the trip computer when the car is fully charged to see what the best places to stop will be. If the temps are going to drop a lot from the time I map it out to the...

What Electric Car(s) do you own and what do you think of it?

The all wheel drive handles ice and snow very well. No issues and no getting stuck so far. I thought about getting winter tires but decided to stick with the all seasons this winter and so far it has gone well. The range drops significantly when the temps drop below 15 degrees but the computer...

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 finally arrived!

We used it twice and it probably won't get used much after that. Anyone over 5'10" will have trouble back there. It's not so much the seating space as it is the foot room. My kids have gigantic feet and my youngest daughter who is in 9th grade and growing like a weed (5'7") has men's size 10...

What Electric Car(s) do you own and what do you think of it?

I forgot to post some pics so here they are. We have almost 12k miles on it since mid Sept delivery. No issues and just 1 tire rotation that I scheduled through the app and they did in my driveway for $60.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 finally arrived!

Nice looking car Julian. We purchased a Model Y LR 7 seater back in Sept. We have almost 12k miles on it and are loving the car including some winter time road trips. The 326 miles advertised range ends up being less than 250 when the temp gets below 15-20 degrees. The heat pump helps but...

    2008 212x Transom Radio (stock)

No it was for an Aquatics AV head unit. The boat is in storage right now. I should have access to it by the beginning of April.

End of season storage - full tank or meh?

Full tank but make sure to either run the engines a bit or not too full because one year I filled up too much in cold temp and we had some warm days in the spring before I could get it out of the garage and it expanded and ran down the side of the boat.

    I have officially resigned.....retirement here I come!

Two of my three kids (the younger two) have bought into the idea of budgeting and scarcity and are excellent savers. My oldest never subscribed to that and is going to be difficult to wean.

    I have officially resigned.....retirement here I come!

@Julian I think you hit on a trend I am experiencing and hearing others experience. The current teen population has become increasingly dependent and it is very difficult to wean them. Covid plays a part but cellphones and social media do to. Your teen spending comments touched a nerve for me...

    Bildge upgrade

I installed a 1000gpm float activated bildge in the bottom of my boat and used the correct diameter bilge hose, but I would like to replace the factory bilge which is 750gpm with the same 1000 gpm bilge (bought 2 of them) . I don't really want to run a new bildge line. Any issues with just...
