Yes, I had to take it to a shop. Tried disconnecting batteries but to no avail. It had to be reset by the computer at the shop. Good Luck

    2012 sx210 overheat warning

It was the temperature light. I found out that in this particular case that, even though I changed the heat sensor, the computer had to be reset to shut the light off. $65.00 for five minutes on the computer to reset!!

    Trailer Bow Roller Help

Hello, Can someone answer a question for me? I have a trailer with wobble rollers. When the boat sits on the trailer, all rollers make contact with the hull but my question is this: should the arms that hold the rollers be locked down in that position? If they are loose, the arms can be...

    2012 sx210 overheat warning

Does anyone have any idea why a check engine light would be on one engine on a yamaha sx210. I don't think it's overheating because the thermostats are out and the light comes on immediately. Thank You, Tom

    Where's the speed?

No, the boat is a 2010 sx210 Tom

    Where's the speed?

No, didn't look like any type of tube there. It was just a pointy plastic piece and it didn't move as I thought it would as the boat moved over water. Just don't know what it does. It's at the stern on the starboard side. Transducer is on the port side. Gonna look at it more carefully tomorrow...

    Where's the speed?

Thank You for thinking of me again. At the stern there is no type of wheel, it looks like a simple pointy plastic rod about three inches long. I thought that was the speedometer sensor but it doesn't move at all. Thanks, Tom

    Where's the speed?

Thank You so much. I'll check that area also. After we scraped all the barnacles off I sanded the hull and assembled the jet pumps after cleaning them out. We launched the boat this afternoon and got it up to thirty MPH on a choppy Great South Bay. Still got a check engine light on the port...

    Where's the speed?

Yes, you guys may be correct however, when I removed thermostats last week there was no growth in the hoses. While the boat wasn't being used we ran the engines every week and flushed with fresh water. Hopefully if anything was trying to grow in there it was flushed out with fresh water. The...

    Where's the speed?

Well, all of you people were correct. We removed the boat from the great south bay on Long Island and the entire hull was covered in barnacles. They were on and inside the jet pumps and the tunnel where the jet pumps sit. Two days of scraping and soaking with muriatic acid and "On and Off" hull...

    Where's the speed?

I was overheating so I removed the thermostats and that solved the problem of over heating. I think you are correct about crap in the pumps. Checking tomorrow. Thank You, Tom

    Where's the speed?

It seems that the suggestion about growth in the pumps in unanimous. Taking it out tomorrow to clean the pumps. While it's out, I'll change plugs also. Thank You very much, Tom

    Where's the speed?

Thank You, Taking boat out tomorrow to check the jet pumps. Already checked the clean out plugs and can feel that impellers are clean but I think you are correct about trash inside the pumps. Thank You so much, Tom

    Where's the speed?

Does anybody know why my starboard engine could be revving at 8000 rpms and the port is revving at 6000 rpms and the boat, (2010 sx210) is going about fifteen mph and won't go any faster. It has been in salt water all season so I'm gonna take it out and power wash hull. Both engines start right...

    2012 sx210 overheat warning

I wonder if you can explain or illustrate to me where the thermostats are located on a 2010 yamaha sx210 jet boat. I have tried everything but changing them to resolve the issue with my daughter's boat. Thank You Tom
