    2017 242 Limited S E Series Slampak

I installed 8 new JL MX650s with all new wiring, 2 x 10” JL subs, an 8 channel JL M800 amp and a JL M400 amp for the subs. I have plans on adding a wetsounds stealth 10 soundbar and 2 tower speakers. The sound is SO much better already. Adding the 2 x 10” subs to the cooler compartment sounds...

    2017 242 Limited S E Series Slampak

Ok thanks. Mine is a 2017 Limited S E-Series. The Polk head unit is in the back by the batteries. I found the blue wire there so I will tap into it there. Sounds like a good idea the way you did the RCA outputs, thanks!

Hey guys, I’m installing the JL Audio M800/2. How are you guys pulling the remote (blue wire) signal? Or do you not have to with these amps? Also are you guys using the RCA outputs from the stock Polk from the front or rear labeled RCA. Not sure I know the difference

    Sucked up rocks

Update: I finally took my boat to an awesome shop in Anderson SC called Watercrafters. These guys are excellent. I needed new impellers and liners. Boat is actually smoother, quieter and faster than new (it was a demo so there was probably a little damage to begin). I can definitely say to...

Well it's at the marina right now and I'm in Atlanta until Thursday. Address is 149 Hartwell Marina Rd. Hartwell, GA

    Sucked up rocks

Yeah, that's who I bought the boat from. There's another place called Water Crafters in Anderson that's only about 30 minutes away. Very experienced Jet Ski and Jet Boat people. I'd probably take it over there just because it's closer.

That's super nice of you but I'll probably just rent a truck. I'm right by Hartwell Marina ahem.

    Sucked up rocks

The marina is so bad. They just 'looked' again and said "we don't see anything". The boat literally felt like it was going to blow up when I dropped it off. I'll pick it up on Friday and check it out. They never pulled the pumps or anything. I also noticed it made really bad noises when...

Thanks guys for all your input. My favorite penetrating lubricant is mixing ATF (automatic tranny fluid) and Acetone 50/50. Aren't the impellers reverse threaded onto the shaft?

    Sucked up rocks

Ok, thanks. Even then it doesn't seem like too big of a problem. I read the instructions on changing out an impeller and it looks really easy if you have some decent skills and a bench vise.

    Sucked up rocks

Cool, thanks for your input. Yes I have a trailer but the hitch for my SUV is backordered. I wanted to do it myself but I just didn't have time or the vehicle. If you suck up rocks, what is a serious problem? It's really never much more serious than replacing impellers is it?

Yeah, no kidding. Clowns man. So frustrating

    Sucked up rocks

This must be the caulk I can feel in there. From the top you can't really see the impeller but you can feel down in there a little.

    Sucked up rocks

Thanks guys. I'm not too panicked because I know it's an easy fix. I'm really annoyed at the marina. Boat is in Hartwell GA if anyone has any recommendations. The problem is that I couldn't haul the boat because my hitch isn't installed yet. These guys have had my boat for way too long...

I'm sure. Those should have come stock though

    Sucked up rocks

Hey guys, I'm new to jet boats (2017 242 limited S E series) and am a dumbass for sucking up a bunch of rocks. We got pushed up against a beach sideways and had no way to get off but to drive off because the waves were slamming us up agains the beach. Lesson learned. Anyway, my boat...

    2017 242 Limited S E Series Slampak

Cool thanks! The links to those Slampaks don't have my year and model but maybe it doesn't matter. That's why I started the thread. Julian, those mid cabin speakers look amazing but I'm not sure I want to get in that deep myself. It seems like they meant to put those 6.5"s in the sides...

Who thought that putting tweeters with no woofers in the tower was a good idea? That person should be fired.

    2017 242 Limited S E Series Slampak

Thanks for the input guys. Does anyone have a link for the Slampak to buy? Realistically I don't have time to do this myself, I'm on Lake Hartwell in GA so I will probably need to find someone to do the install if anyone has any recommendations.

    2017 242 Limited S E Series Slampak

I really can’t believe how bad the stock stereo is. I guess it’s OK if you are on the swim deck or in the bow but if you’re driving the boat all you can hear are these shitty little tweeters in the tower. Such a weird decision. I really don’t understand what they were thinking. Anyway, I’d...
