    Stuck some grease on the cable slides tightened the lock nut and tested. have a nice day and good luck. The only thing I would’ve done different is use debonding agent on the penetrations through the transom before I tried to take them out.

    I then checked the nozzles, but realized that they never moved off center so I cleaned the threads and tightened up the nuts. Threw a little adhesive after the nylocks because they were already used.

    I coated the rack with it and attached it to the steering gear with the 4 bolts. It doesn’t matter where the rock is the steering wheel can turn indefinitely. Although I noticed the shaft under the steering wheel was rusting, so look out for that, and or lubricate that.

    I sprayed cable lube on the steer rack and let it sit up for a bit to run into the cable. Then I figured I better find a grease that was compatible with that to put on the rock. I tried three different ones mobile one synthetic grease seemed the best.

    So I put some grease and attached the y onto the cable and just attached it to the nozzle by dropping the bolt through.

    I will finish this tonight and update the rest. It is just hooking up the 3 ends and adjusting.

    Run the new cables and secure in the transom holes with a APPROPRIATE substance? Use what you will. I used an approved through hull adhesive. A helper at this point is recommended.

    I got jammed up at this point. The port side would not come out of the transom. complete road block I struggled for 2 hours being nice so I did not f up the boat. Finally I put a crow bar against it and drove it through 🤷🏻‍♂️ it worked out fine. It is held on a thick aluminum housing that holds...

    Pull the assembly out watch how it was run so you can get the new one on the same place roughly.

    Remove the rack from the steering column 11mm wrench or socket 4 bolts.

    7/8” wrench and o2 socket fit the nuts on the transom that hold the cable. Remove the nut on the outside. Remove the silicone from the inside.

    At this point, I would advise removing a muffler in the center I did not, and I believe it took me longer because I did not.

    open hatch remove and peel cover off I used a large paint stick.

    Disconnect the rudders from the cable, 11mm wrench/socket. Both sides on twin motors.
