Sugar Sands Tango randomly dies or won't start

Yes, I do have that connection, my concern is about runnning the actual jet unit out of the water. I have previously owned Hamilton Jets and these must be “in the water” before running up as the bearings are all water cooled... Are you indicating that the water from the hose passes through the...

    Zinc anodes

Ok..thank you. But the anode is curved and is designed to sit across the top of the jet unit. A standard zinc anode is quite different in shape. Any suggestions as to where “online” I might procure one as parts for this particular boat are a little difficult over here! The engine is easy as it...

Sugar Sands Tango randomly dies or won't start

Hi...a totally irrelevant question BUT...have just bought a Sugar Sand Tango with 175hp engine. In your thread you indicate you run your boat at home out of the water. look

Hi...sorry to seek your advice, but here goes. I have just purchased a Sugar Sand with 170hp Mercury engine. It presents very well for its age. Have spent the last few nights cleaning and polishing and generally learning about what makes the boat tick. In the centre of the boat between the two...

hi all, I am an avid jet boater of many years..I have owned and/or built at least 6-7 jetboats over many years. Until recently they were all Hamilton Jet powered...a brilliant bomb proof unit. I lived in Australia for most of my life but recently moved to The western Cape in South Africa. Have...
